The Austrian Grand Prix Results are out finally. The race took place at the Red Bull Ring from 3:00 PM track time on June 29, 2025. The race length was set to 70 laps instead of 71. There were complications during the start due to Carlos Sainz’s Williams breaking down. After a late start, the Austrian Grand Prix concluded rather earlier than its previous schedule.

The buildup to Austrian GP was in favour of the Mclarens. Their cars ended up dominating the race throughout the 70 laps. There was hardly any drama in the race after the first lap. Unlike previous years, Austrian Grand Prix results ended up disappointingly boring. There was no struggle for lead. Lando Norris took away the race victory with hardly any challenge whatsoever. The race results have brought a very significant change to the championship scenario today.

Lando Norris is a race winner once again. Previously, he won the last race of May and now he has won the last race of June. Lando Norris completed a dominant display of his racing skills throughout the weekend. He was the number 1 driver in every session and finally got the coveted win. Norris found his redemption after a grave mistake in Canada. He is back on track in the 2025 driver’s championship.

Oscar Piastri had no answer to his teammate’s pace today. The Aussie was chasing Norris all race but he could not complete the move and claim the win. Nevertheless, he overtook Charles at the race start to keep a healthy lead in driver’s championship. Charles Leclerc was the better Ferrari driver this weekend. Il Predestinato brought his team yet another podium. He initially went on to attack Norris. However, he was bested by Piastri at the very first turn.

The top-5 was concluded by Lewis Hamilton and George Russell in P4 and P5 respectively. The former teammates came close during the initial moments of the race. Russell tried to pass Hamilton but the seven-time champion easily evaded his tactics. The pair was way off the pace lagging behind the leading two drivers.

A Top-10 Full of Celebrations and Joy

The frontrunners did not provide enough entertainment for the race. But, it was the midfield was packed with action instead. The likes of Sauber, Haas, etc. were making ridiculously amazing moves the entire race. In P6, Liam Lawson brought forward his best race finish in his F1 career. Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso and Gabriel Bortoleto were having their own moment. The mentor-protege duo engaged in a fun battle on track. Alonso ended up with yet another points finish. Gabriel Bortoleto brought his first points of the 2025 season and his F1 career.

It was a rather amazing weekend for Sauber. Suddenly, they are able to take care of their rivals in the mid-pack easily. The newly upgraded Saubers brought their first double point finish in 2025. Nico Hulkenberg went from P20 to P9 to finish behind his teammate. In a similar manner, Esteban Ocon went from went from the back of the grid to bring P10 for Haas.

DNFs and Disappointments in Austrian Grand Prix Results Today

The 2025 Austrian Grand Prix wasn’t as lucky for the other drivers today. The might Max Verstappen was taken out in front of his ecstatic fans. The Dutchman shot up the grid to try and disturb the frontrunners at the race start. But, the weekend had another plans for him. Max was taken out the 2025 super rookie, Kimi Antonelli. Verstappen couldn’t do anything. Antonelli had a lock up and went straight into Verstappen’s rear axle at Turn 3 of lap 1. Thus, their races ended in a flash. Verstappen was rather calm accepting Antonelli’s fault as a rookie mistake. He has suffered a major blow in the driver’s title. Antonelli too lost out on some good points this weekend.

Williams F1 will want forget today’s race. They have had much better weekends compared to the Austrian GP. The Smooth Operator was left an audience to today’s race after he could even start the Grand Prix. He wasn’t along for long however. His teammate was retired out of the race only a few laps in. The defining image of today was Williams F1 principal, James Vowles holding his head in frustration. He has recently agreed to a long term contract at Williams. Today’s race isn’t the really the best start to his new commitments to the team.

Oliver Bearman and Isack Hadjar narrowly missed points in P11 and P12. Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto couldn’t do much for the Alpines either in P13 and P15. Lance Stroll underperformed once again with a P14 finish. Yuki Tsunoda was left stranded as the last car to finish the race, two laps down the race winner. The Austrian Grand Prix results are surely a shocking blow to some drivers. Next up, F1 will visit Silverstone for the British Grand Prix, a much awaited race for the fans.
