Yankees can get closer to a World Series bound with a victory tonight !
The Cleveland Guardians will host the New York Yankees in Game 3 of the ALCS on Thursday, October 17, at Progressive Field.

But the Guardians will probably not let them do that and are expected to rebound after the first two losses.
In this game, the Yankees are still slightly favorite with -120 odd but be sure that Cleveland will oppose them some resistance.
For this matchup, Yankees are sending Clarke Schmidt on the mount while the Guardians will trust Matthew Boyd.
The latter has made a pretty decent start against the Tigers in ALDS game 5 but only pitched for two innings. Clarke has pitched only once this postseason against the Royals with a 4K, 4 hits and 2 ER performance in 3-2 victory.
The Yankees have hit six home runs so far in the postseason, with players like Giancarlo Stanton or Juan Soto showing postseason power.
However, they’ve had offensive inconsistencies, as seen in Game 2, where they struggled to score beyond the first inning.
Conversely, the Guardians’ offense, while lower on home runs, leverages solid contact hitters like José Ramírez and Steven Kwan. Ramirez’s impact and his positioning in the lineup could be pivotal, especially given Cleveland’s effective bullpen if the game is close.
With the Yankees slightly favored and the total set around 7.5 runs, there’s a trend toward the under, reflecting both teams’ recent low-scoring games.
The Yankees’ recent games have leaned toward the under, going under the total in five of their last seven road games.
The Guardians have also hit the under consistently against AL East teams, suggesting a likely tight game with limited scoring.
