Three semifinalist from both Men and Women Division decided for King and Queen of the Ring tournament.
WWE SmackDown starts tonight with John Cena’s Promo, who claimed it was his master plan all along that worked miracles. He stated that he knew Seth Rollins and CM Punk would melt down, giving him a sure shot opportunity of winning. He said he knew Cody Rhodes would not let go of his goodness and morals inside the ring due to the love of his fans, whether or not it cost him his championship.
John Cena was reciting his master plan, but Cody Rhodes interrupted him. He entered the ring and asked him why his plan didn’t include getting pinned by him at MITB. He claimed he was never part of John Cena’s plan, but Cena is part of his plan. Randy Orton joined them inside the ring and claimed that he would do anything to get his 15th championship, even if it means dropping his best friend, Cody Rhodes.
Randy Orton Advances in the King of the Ring Tournament, Will face Sami Zayn Next
Randy Orton, LA Knight, Aleister Black, and Carmelo Hayes fought tonight in a Fatal Four-Way match to advance into the King of the Ring Tournament. The winner of the tournament will get the title shot at SummerSlam. Aleister Black showcased great moves and dominated the match initially, but no one can have complete dominance in a Fatal Four-Way match.
Randy Orton lined up Aleister Black and Carmelo Hayes for a DDT when LA Knight hit a Neckbreaker on Randy Orton. All three opponents were down, and it was LA Knight’s moment to shine, but Bronson Reed pulled him down from the second rope, and Bron Breaker delivered a spear to him. Carmelo Hayes tried to take advantage of the opportunity by delivering a Frog Splash, but Randy caught him mid-air and delivered an RKO over LA Knight.
Randy Orton pinned LA Knight to win the match. Bron Breakker got his revenge on LA Knight for costing him in the King of the Ring qualification match. Randy Orton will now face Sami Zayn to reach final of the King of the Ring tournament.
Solo Sikoa Warns Jacob Fatu of The Consequences of His MITB Actions
Jacob Fatu reminded Solo Sikoa that he can not take all the credit for his accent in WWE just because he comes from the same Bloodline. He stated Solo needed to be reminded He need to get in where he fit in. Solo interrupted Jacob Fatu with a video message stating he was the one who brought him to WWE when he didn’t have anything. He reminded Solo, he gave him money and everything to become relevant.
Solo asked Jacob Fatu that he would forgive Jacob Fatu for what he did at MITB if he says “I love You Solo” next week when they meet next week. He also warned Jacob that he brought him into WWE and he would also take him out.
Jade Cargill Advances Ahead in The Queen of The Ring Tournament
Jade Cargill, Piper Niven, Nia Jax and Michin fought in a Fatal Four Way to advance into the Queen of the Ring tournament. Nia Jax and Piper Niven formed an alliance and took out Michin and assaulted Jade Cargill brutally. They threw her over the announcer table and she hit Wade Barrett. Michin tried to get one up on both Nia Jax and Piper Niven but that was too much of Raw power for her.
Piper tried to pin Michin but Nia Jax stopped and a disputed started between these two power houses. Nia Jax hit Michin with an Annihilator and tried to pin her but Piper Niven pulled her out. She pushed Nia Jax through the barricade and enter the ring to pin Michin but Jade Cargill hit her with Jaded to win the match and advance further in the Queen of the Ring Tournament.
Wyatt Sicks Made a Statement By Defeating Motor City Machine Guns
Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy of Wyatt Sicks collided with MCMG and started dominating the match. It seemed like MCMG had no answer to the brutalization of Wyatt Sicks but MCMG increased the intensity of their attack. They dominated the match and at one point, Uncle Howdy had a concerning look on his face. Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy just needed a moment to win the match.
R-Truth Attacked John Cena, Not Once but Twice Today, Will Face John Cena Next Week
John Cena was leaving the ring after his promo when Ron Killings attacked him for the first time. John Cena was searching for him all around and he entered the ring again to call him out. CM Punk entered the ring and asked John Cena to leave what he his doing and be what he always watch and the crowd will stop insulting him. John Cena denied and CM Punk started a verbal assault on John Cena.
The assault that included everything whether it was John Cena’s looks or his career. He also called him for copying his “I will ruin Wrestling” from 10 years ago. CM Punk left the ring and R-Truth attacked John Cena from behind. He held John Cena into an STF and officials had to separate him from John Cena. Nick Aldis asked R-Truth what he wants and the latter replied a match against John Cena. The match was made official later.
Alexa Bliss Advance Ahead in The Queen of The Ring Tournament
Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Candice LeRae and Alba Fyre fought tonight to move a step ahead in Queen of the Ring. Alba Fyre replace Chelsea Green who was part of the fatal four way but couldn’t join SmackDown tonight. Alba Fyer and Candice LeRae tried to eliminate Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair initially to reduce the threat for the latter part of the match but the veterans had their share of dominance during their time for a reason.
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair started dominating the match one after the other. The match showcased some immaculate moves and their counters. Charlotte Flair held Alexa Bliss in a Figure 8 but Candice LeRae broke it with a Springboard Lionsault. Charlotte Flair locked in Figure 8 on Alba Fyre and Alexa Bliss delivered an Abigail DDT to Candice LeRae simultaneously. Alexa Bliss score the pinfall to win the match before Alba Fyre tapped out.
Alexa Bliss joined Roxanne Perez and Jade Cargill as the semifinalists of the Queen of the Ring tournament. Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, Stephanie Vaquer and Ivy Nile will face each other in a Fatal Four-way on Raw to decide the last semifinalist of Queen of the Ring Tournament.
Cody Rhodes Advances Ahead in the King of the Ring Tournament
Cody Rhodes faced Andrade, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Damian Priest in a Fatal Four Way match in King of the Ring tournamant. American Nightmare started the match with a Suicide dive on Shinsuke Nakamura. Andrade took out everyone outside the ring with a Moonsault. Nakamura started dominating the match. Each one of them faced a lot of brutalization during the match.
Shinsuke Nakaura held Andrade in an Armbar but Cody Rhodes broke the hold. He then set up a table to send Andrade through it but ended up getting push on the table himself. Cody got a little break and started dominating all three opponent till Shinsuke Nakamura delivered a Kinshasa to him. Andrade took down Damian Priest and Cody delivered a Cody Cutter to Damian Priest from the third rope.
Cody Rhodes delivered a Cross Rhodes to Shinsuke Nakamura to advance to the King of the Ring Semifinal. Cody Rhodes now joins Sami Zayn and Randy Orton as three Semifinalist of King of the Ring tournament. We will get out last Semifinalist on Monday Night Raw when Sheamus, Rusev, Jey Uso and Bronson Reed will face each other in a Fatal Four way.
