WWE RAW on Netflix January 27, 2025: Cody Rhodes and CM Punk shared an intense promo, Drew McIntyre Made it 11-0, War Raiders retain their titles and more…

CM Punk claimed to win the Royal Rumble and free Cody Rhodes shoulders off the burden of the WWE Undisputed title at WrestleMania Main Event.

WWE was studded with numerous superstars’ promos today. They started today with the promos of Seth Rollins, Gunther, and Logan Paul. They had a verbal spat each claiming to win the Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. CM Punk was interviewed backstage and Sami confronted him. Cody Rhodes entered and Sami told him, it’s good to see him.

Jey Uso entered the arena with Travis Scott later, acknowledged the crowd, and claimed he would win the 2025 Royal Rumble. The women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley was interviewed backstage and she stated it doesn’t matter who wins the rumble. Whoever wins if they pick her, will be brutalized at Wrestlemania. Bayley claimed and Iyo Sky both claimed to win the rumble.

Paul Heyman announced that Roman Reigns would win the Royal Rumble and also showed Roman Reigns’s face on WWE 2K25. Drew McIntyre interrupted Paul Heyman and asked him to tell CM Punk that he was coming for him.

War Raiders vs. Judgment Day

The two-and-fro match between the two teams had several mindblowing moments. Carlito at the ringside tried his best to hand the win to Judgment Day. It seemed a handicap match as the War Raiders had to fight with JD McDonagh and Dominic Mysterio inside the ring and Carlito outside the ring. The tag champs are however a force to reckon with. They quickly established their dominance in the match brutalized Carlito outside and pinned Dominic inside to retain the title.

Rey Mysterio vs. Xavier Woods

Rey Mysterio and Xavier Woods fought in the latter’s hometown. Xavier Woods’s family was in the front-row seat but did not support their son. They were wearing “New Day Sucks” t-shirts. Xavier Woods showed incredible intensity and dominated most of the match. Rey Mysterio got momentum when Xavier Woods saw his family wearing a “New Day Sucks” t-shirt. Rey delivered a 619 followed by Frog Splash to Xavier Woods and won the match.

Naomi and Bianca Belair (c) vs. Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan

The match shifted from one team to another the entire match. Numerous pinfall attempts were made but none of them were successful. Bianca Belair and Naomi showed incredible strength and moves showcasing why they are tag champs. Liv Morgan went for Oblivion but Bianca Belair countered and performed a KOD on her. She went for the pin but Dirty Dom distracted the officials. Naomi covered Liv for the pin but Raquel pulled her out, delivered a Tejana Bomb on the apron and Liv pinned her to secure victory.

Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn

Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn were part of the most brutal match today. Sami Zayn was busted open during the match and was bleeding through the nose. This didn’t hold Sami back whose intensity grew folds after it. Drew McIntyre went for a Claymore but he missed. Sami also went for the Helluva Kick but he missed and Drew cheated his way to win by using ropes while pinning Sami Zayn. Sami has now lost all 11 matches again Drew McIntyre

Drew started an assault on Sami and Cody Rhodes entered to save Sami. Cody Rhodes hit Drew with a Cody Cutter however Kevin Owens entered and started an assault on Cody. Drew joined forces with K.O. and started a two-on-one beat down. Sami tried to deliver a Helluva Kick to Drew but just like last week, it hit Cody Rhodes. Seth Rollins earlier warned Sami that it can be a mistake if it happens one time but if it happens again, it wont be a mistake anymore. Sure, it was an accident but it happened twice in two weeks.

Cody and CM Punk in a verbal spat

Cody was acknowleding his home crowd when CM Punk entered the ring. He asked whether Cody is all right because the latter seemed weared out. He claimed that he is Cody’s true friend. The promo however turned into a spat when CM Punk stated that he is going to win the Royal Rumble and come after Cody. The American Nightmare retaliated by stating he want CM Punk to win the rumble so that he could beat the latter.

Cody stated that the dynamics of WWE has changed. He was chasing CM Punk previously but now CM Punk is chasing him. CM Punk stated there are graveyards filled with career of those who were chased by CM Punk. Cody retaliated again by stating that he want to see the look on Punk’s face when he finds out the Best in the World is not the best anymore.
