WWE Raw: Announced Matches, Match Card, Preview and Predictions

Sheamus and Rusev at each other's throats again.

WWE is paving the way to the upcoming big event, SummerSlam. This would be the first SummerSlam that will span two days and will host matches like the WWE Undisputed title match between John Cena and Cody Rhodes and the WWE Heavyweight Championship Match between Gunther and CM Punk.

CM Punk won the gauntlet match last week when he defeated Bron Breakker, but it started a two-on-one assault of Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker on him. Jey Uso entered the ring to help CM Punk but was met with the same fate. This is when the unthinkable happens. Roman Reigns entered the ring amongst the loud cheers from the crowd and laid waste to both Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker.

CM Punk and Roman Reigns Segment

CM Punk and Roman Reigns will address the crowd tonight, and while CM Punk will address the crowd about his match, Roman Reigns is announced to address Paul Heyman specifically.

We might see them team up against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in a tag team match tonight on Raw. Seth Rollins’ army has created numerous enemies since they teamed up, and it seems that their enemies are uniting against them.

Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria segment

Becky Lynch will defend her WWE Women’s Intercontinental title against Lyra Valkyria at SummerSlam. Lyra Valkyria defeat Bayley in a 2 out of 3 fallout match to become the #1 contender for the tag team championship. The former Women’s Intercontinental champion has been trying to get her hands on Becky Lynch ever since she lost her title to her.

Dominic Mysterio’s Evaluation and Match Announcement

Dominic Mysterio was scheduled to defend his title against AJ Styles, but the former pulled out of the match last minute, stating he is injured. He has been showing the doctor’s letter pad to AJ Styles every now and then to make sure the latter doesn’t lay hands on him. Dominic Mysterio, however, helped Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez defend their title against Kabuki Warriors.

This made Adam Pearce question his injury, and he announced that WWE’s medical team will evaluate him, and if he comes out all healthy, he will have to defend his title again. WWE might announce that Dominic Mysterio has fully recovered and might announce the match between him and AJ Styles for SummerSlam.

#1 Contender Triple Threat Tag Team Match, Match Preview and Prediction

Former Tag Team Champions, New Day, will face American Made and LWO in a tag team match to decide the #1 contender for the WWE Tag Team titles. The winner would face Finn Balor and JD McDonagh for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh dethroned New Day to become the New Tag team champions, and New Day have been trying to get their rematch ever since.

Prediction: New Day will win the match and will become the #1 contender for the WWE Tag Team Championship. The match between Judgment Day and New Day might take place at SummerSlam

Sami Zayn vs Karrion Kross, Match Preview and Prediction

Sami Zayn and Karrion Kross have been each other’s nemesis for a long time. Kross has been trying to make sure Sami Zayn turns villain, but the latter retreats from sinking that low. Sami Zayn defeated Karrion Kross fair and square, but Kross turned out to be a sour loser and attacked Sami Zayn on Raw before his match, injuring his midsection, which ultimately proved to be the reason for Sami’s loss later that night.

Kross attacked Sami Zayn again. They will collide again on Monday Night Raw tonight

Prediction: Sami Zayn would defeat Karrion Kross, and the latter would once again assault Sami Zayn to set up their match at SummerSlam

Sheamus vs Rusev, Match Preview and Prediction

Rusev has been hellbent on bullying fellow wrestlers. He injured Otis and brutalized Akira Tozawa, which is when Sheamus returned to rescue him. Rusev and Sheamus confronted each other, and a match between them was announced.

Sheamus and Rusev faced each other for the first time since Rusev’s return to WWE. Sheamus lost the match, and Rusev not only mocked him after the match but backstage too. Sheamus, despite losing the last match, asked Adam Pearce for another match. They will face each other once again tonight.

Prediction: Sheamus is speculated to win the match and settle the score. This would be the first time Rusev would get pinned after his return to WWE. Their rivalry will, however, continue after the match as Rusev might attack Sheamus post his victory to intensify their rivalry further.
