Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes have been more than friends with each other. Randy Orton mentored Cody Rhodes in WWE and was one of those who were most happy when he finished his story by beating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Cody was able to successfully defend his title against many superstars, but not against the betrayal of John Cena.

John Cena has defended his title against Randy Orton and R-truth and is all set to defend his title against CM Punk at Night of Champions. Having the same goal in mind, and that is to stop John Cena in his conquest of ruining wrestling, they will face each other at Night of Champions to decide the King of the Ring winner.

Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes, King of the Ring Final, Match Preview

Randy Orton has Backlash’s revenge in his mind, where he was inches closer to victory, but John Cena cheated his way to win. Randy has been hellbent on getting another opportunity against John Cena. He defeated Carmelo Hayes, LA Knight, and Aleister Black in a fatal four-way to enter the King of the Ring Semifinals and then beat Sami Zayn to reach the finals.

Cody Rhodes, who lost his title to John Cena, has also been trying to get his hands on the title again. It started when he defeated Shinsuke Nakamura, Andrade, and Damian Priest to qualify for the Semifinals of the King of the Ring tournament. He faced Jey Uso in the Semifinals and, after a long battle, beat him to reach the finals.
