Will Cody Rhodes chose unfair means to defeat John Cena and Logan Paul?
WWE welcomes another PPV, Money in the Bank, which allows superstars to take a shortcut to the top of the WWE. The winner gets an opportunity to cash in the Money in the Bank contract anytime, anywhere, and on any WWE Champion he wants. The price is big, and so is the challenge. Six wrestlers compete in a ladder match to unhing the MITB briefcase hanging above the ring.
The 2025 Money in the Bank is scheduled for Saturday, June 7, at 7 pm ET / 4 pm PT. The PPV is set to occur at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, and will be available for live streaming on Peacock in the U.S. and Netflix internationally. Four matches have been announced so far for MITB 2025: two ladder matches, one singles title match, and a tag team match. So, what are the four announced matches? Let’s dive in
Eighteen wrestlers, or seventeen, if you think Chad Gable is El Grande Americano, fought in six triple-threat matches to qualify for the MITB. Out of these eighteen, six superstars, Solo Sikoa, Andrade, Penta, El Grande Americano, LA Knight, and Seth Rollins qualified for the Six-Man MITB ladder match. A big part of professional wrestling is not only winning but also eliminating the biggest threat in your future match.

While Solo Sikoa made sure he qualified by taking help from Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo, Seth Rollins took it one step further. He made sure that he qualified by hook or by crook. Not only that, He also made sure that his biggest threats, CM Punk, Sami Zayn, and AJ Styles, won’t qualify for MITB. Here are the results of the six triple-threat for MITB qualification
Just like Men’s qualifications, WWE divas also competed in six triple-threat matches to qualify for the Money in the Bank. Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, and Naomi were the veterans to qualify, while Roxanne Perez, Giulia, and Stephanie Vaquer were the newbies to qualify from WWE’s main roster. These six women will compete in a ladder match to get their hands on the MITB briefcase.

Lyra Valkyria cost Becky Lynch the qualification opportunity, allowing Roxanne Perez to pin Natalya. The Women’s MITB winner has a record of 100% while cashing in their contract. Let’s dive into the results of Women’s MITB qualification matches:
A relationship that started as the mentor-mentee became an unbreakable bond, but everything expires. Becky Lynch returned to WWE to help her mentee Lyra Valkyria after Bayley got injured. Lyra and Bayley were to face Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez at WrestleMania 41. Team of Becky lynch and Lyra Valkyria instantly succeeded in becoming the tag team champions, defeating Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez at WrestleMania.

That happiness was short-lived as Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria lost their title in a day to the previous holders. To make things worse, Becky Lynch attacked Lyra Valkyria after the match and revealed that she had attacked Bayley. This started a series of attacks and ambushes between the two till they fought at Backlash. Lyra Valkyria defeated Becky Lynch for the second time, but things got out of hand when Becky involved Lyra’s fiancé.

Lyra pulled Becky Lynch out of the MITB qualification match when the latter was about to win it. The war of words between them continued, and Lyra cooked the Man in it. They decided to fight at MITB, but with conditions. Becky told Lyra that if she loses, she will never challenge her till she is the champion. She has one condition that if she wins, Lyra would be the one to raise her hand.
The battle between the hero who turned villain vs. the hero who remained. The story of betrayal that started at the Elimination Chamber when John Cena stabbed Cody Rhodes in the back and finished at WrestleMania. John Cena defeated Cody Rhodes and became the 17-time WWE Champion. His vow to ruin wrestling for everyone has brought Cody Rhodes back after a month.

John Cena’s wish to ruin wrestling made him help Logan Paul against Jey Uso, so the WWE Heavyweight champion loses his title to a YouTuber. He assaulted Jey Uso and would have cost him the title had Cody Rhodes not intervened. Cody drove Cena away and helped Jey Uso retain his title at Saturday Night Main Event. He also challenged John Cena and Logan Paul for a tag team match against him and Jey Uso.
