Hulk Hogan died at the age of 75

In one of the most shocking and heartwrenching wrestling news for today, WWE legend and Hall of Famer, Hulk Hogan, died at the age of 71. He died of cardiac arrest today at his home in Clearwater. Emergency personnel transported him from his residence in an ambulance. He was taken to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Hulk Hogan has had numerous health issues ever since he retired from WWE. Hulk Hogan’s appearance at the Netflix Premiere of Raw remains his last appearance on WWE. He was not only a great wrestler but one of the most recognizable figures in pop culture who took WWE to new heights during his era.

Hogan started his career in 1977; however, he became famous worldwide after signing with the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) in December 1983. In his professional career, he won 12 worldwide championships, which include 6 WWE Championships & 6 WCW (World Heavyweight) championships. He held the WWF championship title five times, and his reign lasted for 1,474 days, making it the longest in the history of the WrestleMania era.

Hulk Hogan became the first wrestler to achieve back-to-back victories in Royal Rumble matches, securing victories in both 1990 and 1991. His match with André the Giant on WWF The Main Event on February 5, 1988, continues to set records for U.S. television viewership in wrestling, achieving a 15.2 Nielsen rating and gaining 33 million viewers.

Hulk Hogan’s death will leave a huge dent in WWE, and his unmatched legacy will be remembered till eternity. May he find eternal peace.
