The American Nightmare completed his story by defeating Roman Reigns in a bloodline rule match and becoming the WWE Undisputed Champion at WrestleMania XL. He has successfully defended his title ever since.

A new challenger for Cody’s title will be announced soon once WWE concludes its next big event, the Elimination Chamber. Jey Uso won the Men’s Royal Rumble by eliminating the legend John Cena, but he has yet to decide the title he would compete for. There is a high probability that he would go after Gunther for the Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. This means that the winner of the Elimination Chamber would fight Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania.

Cody Rhodes Championship Tour will start from WWE Friday Night SmackDown

Cody Rhodes’s championship tour starts on February 7, 2025. This Friday Night SmackDown from Memphis would be his first stop. This will be his first appearance after his brutal ladder match against Kevin Owens at the 2025 Royal Rumble. He would then go to Washington followed by Charlotte and New Orleans. He will conclude his February in Toronto, Canada.

Cody Rhodes as the Undisputed Champion has a target on his back. Many superstars, including big names like CM Punk, John Cena, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns, have shown interest in his title.
