Will Steve Austin resume his rivalry with Dwayne Johnson?
WrestleMania is around the corner, and rumors and predictions are making the rounds on the internet. One such rumor is the return of the legend “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Steve Austin was known for raising his middle finger to everyone and anyone who dared to go against him, including the WWE authorities. The Texas Rattlesnake retired from WWE after WrestleMania XIX but has made numerous memorable appearances ever since.
Steve Austin added many accolades to his name in his illustrious in-ring career. It includes six WWE Championships, two Intercontinental Championships, a record three Royal Rumble victories, and Triple Crown Champion credentials. He returned to WWE for his final match in 2022 when he fought against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38.
Steve Austin has always been against the bullying nature of the authorities. Nothing is better than having the head of the authorities be your long-term rival. The Final Boss, Rock, and Steve Austin shared a long history. They headlined three WrestleMania PPVs from 1999 to 2003 just to put their rivalry into perspective. A feat that has ever been untouched ever since. No other superstars were as popular simultaneously as the Rock and Steve Austin.
Steve Austin’s return has been speculated since WrestleMania XL when The Rock performed a beatdown on Cody Rhodes and Austin’s poster was lurking behind. Steve Austin has confirmed that he will appear with Brett Hart in the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. These two are announced for their match at WrestleMania 13, which still goes down in history books as one of the greatest matches of all time.
Cody Rhodes received a huge help from “The American Badass” Undertaker at WrestleMania XL. The Rock will surely help John Cena in his match against Cody Rhodes, which will make him one short in the numbers game. It would be no surprise if Steve Austin comes to the aid of The American Nightmare at WrestleMania.
The Rock is now the Final Boss and shares a great rivalry with Steve Austin. It would be fair to assume, Steve Austin would help Cody Rhodes. He might be stunning The Rock with a Stunner this time, and that’s the bottom line, coz Steve Austin said so.
