The Las Vegas Aces are ready to host the Indiana Fever for Game 2 of their best-of-five semifinals series on Tuesday, September 23. Their 2025 WNBA semi-finals series opener saw the lower-seeded Fever pulling off a stunning 89-73 upset over the red-hot Aces. Kelsey Mitchell dropped game-leading 34 points, while Natasha Howard dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
In addition, Odyssey Sims chipped in 17 points to the Fever’s scoreboard. They were shooting 34/68 from the field, 5/16 from three-point range, and 16/17 from the free-throw line. On the other hand, the hosts failed to impress, and were led by Jackie Young’s 19 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Four-time MVP A’ja Wilson dropped 16 points, 13 rebounds, and one assist, while Dana Evans and Chelsea Gray added 14 and 13 points, respectively.
As the series moves on, the two-time champions will want to use their home-court advantage and tie the series before action moves to Indianapolis.
A’ja Wilson Over 25.5 Points – After finishing regular season as the leading scorer, A’ja Wilson continues to dominate scoring charts in the playoffs as well. She, along with Kelsey Mitchell, are averaging 26.0 points per game in the playoffs. In the last five games, she has scored over 20 points four times, and while she was limited to 18 points in Game 1, we can expect Wilson to get into her form and score over 25.5 points in Game 2.
Kelsey Mitchell Over 20.5 Points- In a season where the Fever struggled with multiple season-ending injuries, Mitchell emerged as a beacon of hope. Mitchell shouldered scoring responsibility for her side in tough times and guided them to their first semifinals since 2015. Even in the first semi-finals game, she dropped 34 points, and considering her postseason average of 26.0 points, we can expect her to score over in Game 2 as well.
Natasha Howard Over 6.5 Rebounds: Natasha Howard grabbed 11 rebounds in Game 1 against the Las Vegas Aces. While she is not the leading rebounder, Howard has had five or more rebounds in all last five games. We can expect her to continue the same kind of gameplay on Tuesday.

The Las Vegas Aces emerged as a powerhouse in the second half of the season and finished the campaign in the regular season with a 16-game winning streak. After defeating the Seattle Storm 2-1 in the opening round, the Aces multiplied their chances to move to the Finals as they were grouped against the Indiana Fever.
However, the biggest mistake that they made was underestimating Indiana Fever, who despite being short-handed for most of the season, displayed grit and resilience to make their way through to their first semifinals. The Aces are expected to learn from their mistakes and not repeat them in Game 2 in order to tie the series. They must also tighten their defense and get back to dominance.
