FIFA disclosed the prize pool for the upcoming Club World Cup in their recent reports. They announced huge financial incentives as the new winners of the competition are set to receive $125 million (£97m) in winnings. Adapting to the modern distribution, teams will also get a further participation payment in the FIFA Club World Cup. The payments are reported to be decided on “ranking based on sporting and commercial criteria”.
This means that the prize distribution will vary depending on the continental representation. While the South American clubs will receive around $15 million, the clubs in Europe are expected to receive anywhere between $12 million to $38 million.

“The distribution model of the FIFA Club World Cup reflects the pinnacle of club football and represents the biggest-ever prize money for a football tournament comprising of a seven-match group stage and play-off format with a potential payout of $125m foreseen for the winners. In addition to the prize money for the participating teams, there is an unprecedented solidarity investment programme where we have a target of an additional $250m being provided to club football across the world. This solidarity will undoubtedly provide a significant boost in our ongoing efforts to make football truly global.”
This comes right after the concerns over the hectic scheduling leading to players picking injuries. Harry Kane who will represent Bayern Munich at the Club World Cup also addressed the issue claiming clubs are demanding more revenue.
FIFA Club World Cup will commence from June 15 to July 13 2025. The finals of the tournament will be MetLife Stadium in New York New Jersey, which is also set to host the final of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
