Get ready to witness an AFC North confrontation as the Bengals play the Steelers on TNF!

Just like that, it is the middle of October and we are ready to begin week 7 of the 2025-26 NFL season. This week gets underway with yet another exciting Thursday Night Football (TNF) matchup, one that features two teams from the same division.

Who’s playing on Thursday Night Football?

Thursday Night Football in week 7 brings us a divisional rivalry battle between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The two AFC North teams will battle it out for their first game of the season, while they are due to play each other once again in week 11.

The Bengals’ season has gone downhill ever since they lost Joe Burrow to a turf toe injury. They come into this week’s TNF with a terrible 2-4 record. Having traded for veteran signal caller Joe Flacco, the 40-year-old will now start just his second game under center for Cincinnati.

Meanwhile, the Aaron Rodgers-led Pittsburgh Steelers are 4-1 and firing on all cylinders. Rodgers seems to have settled in quickly with the Steelers’ way, as has wide receiver DK Metcalf, who has already caught 4 touchdowns in 5 games.

Bengals vs Steelers Head-to-Head Record Ahead of TNF

As the Bengals and Steelers are divisional rivals, these two teams have met a plethora of times previously. The two teams have played each other a total of 111 times, and the Steelers hold a huge advantage of 71-40 over the Bengals.

In the postseason, the teams have met only twice, and it is once again Pittsburgh that holds a 2-0 lead over Cincinnati. Between 2015 and 2022, the Steelers had the Bengals’ number, winning 11 times in a row.

The last game between the two sides came on 4th January, 2025. It was the Bengals who edged out the Steelers in a closely contested 19-17 win.

What Time Does Week 7 Thursday Night Football Start?

The Thursday Night Football game between the Bengals and Steelers has a kick-off time of 8:15 p.m. ET. The game will be played at Paycor Stadium, the home of the Bengals in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Week 7 TNF TV Channel

The TNF game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers will be telecast on Amazon Prime Video. Viewers who have a subscription to Amazon Prime can catch the action for free.

Local viewers in Cincinnati can also catch the simulcast on local ABC affiliate WCPO, whereas it will be on WTAE in Pittsburgh. Streaming options for locals include Amazon Prime Video, NFL+, and Hulu + Live TV.

Out-of-market viewers can watch the game via NFL Sunday Ticket via YouTube. As for international viewers, the game can be seen on DAZN.

Week 7 Thursday Night Football Result Prediction

The Bengals just don’t have too much going for them at the moment. The Joe Burrow injury has sent them on a downward spiral. The offensive line is neither able to protect the quarterback nor allow the run game to flourish. Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are still a deadly receiver duo, but then again, Flacco will be starting just his second game in the Bengals’ colors.

The Steelers, on the other hand, are much stronger on defense. While Aaron Rodgers may not be at the peak of his career, he is still getting the job done on the offensive side of things. If that Bengals’ O-line can’t hold up against T.J. Watt and company, expect a long night for Cincinnati.

  • Week 7 TNF Kick-Off Time: 8:15 PM ET
  • Location: Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio

Our Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers to win.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
