The pressure in Turin has once again reached boiling point. Juventus have parted ways with Igor Tudor after a frustrating run of eight games without a win across all competitions. The Croatian succeeded Thiago Motta in March. He then guided the club to a Champions League return last season.
However, the Old Lady have struggled to maintain momentum this term. A 1-0 defeat to Lazio on Sunday proved to be the final straw. It has left Juventus in eighth position in the Serie A table. They’ve also gone without a goal in four consecutive matches.

Massimo Brambilla, head coach of Juventus’ youth team, will now serve as the interim boss for their upcoming fixture against Udinese. However, the club’s management is already exploring long-term replacements. Several high-profile names are already floating in the market as potential successors to Tudor.
According to multiple reports, former Napoli and Italy coach Luciano Spalletti has emerged as the frontrunner to take over at Juventus. Discussions between Spalletti and the Juve hierarchy are believed to be underway. The 66-year-old is reportedly intrigued by the opportunity. Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Spalletti said:
“I feel good, I wait with serenity. I have the ambition to set things right.” He previously guided Napoli to their first Serie A title in over three decades. Former Roma legend Francesco Totti, who played under Spalletti, also endorsed the move, telling Corriere dello Sport, “Juventus would make a great acquisition if they were to hire him. Whenever he’s gone, he’s always done well.”
Alongside Spalletti, several other candidates’ names have come up in the market with the Juventus hot seat. Club legend Zinedine Zidane remains a fan favourite and is currently unattached after leaving Real Madrid in 2021. He holds an illustrious history with the club as a player.

Additionally, his managerial success in Europe also makes him a sentimental and strategic option. Meanwhile, Roberto Mancini, Edin Terzic, and Raffaele Palladino are also some names in the list. Mancini’s experience with Italy and Manchester City could bring stability.
Meanwhile Terzic, who led Borussia Dortmund to the 2024 Champions League final, represents a youthful alternative. Palladino is also being viewed as an ambitious domestic candidate with a progressive style of play. Even with all of them, Spalletti’s name is gaining traction.
