Quarterback Tyler Shough was an early second-round pick at the 2025 NFL draft. Shough was selected by the New Orleans Saints with the 40th overall pick. He played his college football from 2018 to 2024. Starting his journey with Oregon State, he played his first two seasons as a redshirt freshman. Moving on in 2021, Shough committed to Texas Tech University.

In his first start for Texas Tech, Shough completed 17 out of 24 passes for a remarkable 231 yards. The Red Raiders came out with a 38-21 victory. After appearing in 15 games over three seasons, Shough transferred to Louisville in 2024.

Shough started 12 games in his debut year for Louisville. He completed 244 passes for 3,195 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2024. Shough decided to withdraw from the 2024 Sun Bowl between Louisville and Washington to focus on preparing for the 2025 NFL draft.
