Raven Johnson has become a cornerstone for her team, South Carolina Gamecocks in the 2024-25 season. Averaging at 4.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game this season, Johnson started her basketball journey at Westlake High School in Atlanta. She helped the team win four straight state titles and won two Miss Georgia Basketball titles from the Atlanta Tipoff Club.

As a senior, she won the Naismith Prep Player of the Year and also received McDonald’s All-American honors. She started playing with South Carolina in June 2020, but her freshman season came to an end during her second game after she suffered a left knee injury. As a sophomore, Johnson led the team in both rebounds and assists at the SEC Tournament with 6.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

The 22-year-old has had successful outings with the national team when she was picked for team United States. She averaged 5.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game, and helped the side win the silver medal in the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup in Mexico in 2023.
