The Kansas City Chiefs stand at 0-2 after losses to the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles in Weeks 1 and 2. Patrick Mahomes has performed well, throwing for 445 yards and two touchdowns, and an interception, but the team has let him down with offensive inefficiencies, including dropped passes, and poor protection. Wide receiver Rashee Rice is currently serving a six-game suspension for a personal conduct violation, while Xavier Worthy suffered a shoulder injury early in Week 1, after colliding with his teammate Travis Kelce, thinning the receiver lineups.
Defensively, the Chiefs rank 13th overall, allowing 5 TDs in just two games. Chris Jones has voiced frustration over scheme adjustments and lack of pressure, yet the unit has failed to contain mobile quarterbacks and rushing attacks, evidenced by the Eagles game. The pass rush has been mediocre at best, exposing vulnerabilities that have persisted despite offseason additions, and all the hype about the Chiefs’ bounce back season after losing in an embarrassing fashion to the Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
The Kansas City Chiefs face the New York Giants in Week 3 interconference matchup at MetLife Stadium. Both teams are 0-2 with the Chiefs missing key players including Rice and Worthy, and the Giants reeling from a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce lead Kansas City against Russell Wilson and rising star Malik Nabers, as both squads desperately seek their first win.

The Chiefs’ offense, led by Mahomes’, has struggled with turnovers, while their defense has been less than ideal, at least in terms of what we expect from the Chiefs. The Giants, despite Nabers’ 167 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns couldn’t close out Dallas in overtime, a team that nearly upset the Eagles, who defeated Kansas City in Week 1. This interconnection suggests unpredictability in this matchup.
Last season, the Chiefs would have been heavy favorites, but their porous defense and missing playmakers level the playing field. If Kansas fails to contain Wilson’s deep throws to Nabers or Cam Skattebo’s runs, the Giants could capitalize with explosive plays. With both teams hungry to avoid an 0-3 start, the game could hinge on defensive stops or critical mistakes, making any outcome possible.
The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium (home of the Giants). The match will kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET on September 21, 2025. With both teams loaded with offensive firepower, we could be potentially looking at a high scoring game, provided that the Giants play the way they played against the Cowboys.

The Chiefs vs Giants game will certainly be entertaining as we have Hall of Fame quarterbacks going at one another, with both teams 0-2 so far. Look out for desperation to kick in for both teams, if they start trailing early in the game as nobody wants a 0-3 record to start their season.

mma I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
