All you need to know ahead of Rafael Espinoza’s showdown with Edward Vazquez in Las Vegas.
Rafael Espinoza is slated to take on Edward Vazquez on Sunday, May 4, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their bout is part of the main card headlined by Naoya Inoue vs. Ramon Cardenas for the undisputed super bantamweight title. In addition to the Espinoza-Vazquez clash and the headliner, the card features four more boxing bouts, including Emiliano Fernando Vargas taking on Juan Leon for the NABF Junior welterweight title.
Espinoza will be defending his WBO featherweight title for the third time, which he claimed in December 2023 with a majority decision win over Robeisy Ramirez. “El Divino,” now holding a 26-0 professional record, most recently secured a second victory over Ramirez via technical knockout in December 2024. On the other side, Vazquez brings a 17-2 record into the bout, coming off a TKO win against Kenneth Taylor.
