Excitement is in the air as we approach the 2025 NFL draft. It will be a joyous and unforgettable moment for all collegiate football players who will get drafted into the NFL over the three-day period. While the fun part of the game will remain the same, these kids will now step into the world of professional football at the highest level. It will be a life-changing event for many players and their families alike.

The NFL draft is one of the more awaited events of the offseason. By now teams have a fairly good understanding of their roster gaps, and which positions require depth. The draft allows teams to inject youth and the positives that come with it such as the hunger to perform at the highest level within the roster.

This year’s draft class is one of the stronger ones for positions such as edge rushers, defensive, and offensive tackles, wide receivers, and cornerbacks. The quarterback class this year is considered one of the weaker ones, especially compared to last year when a total of 6 signal callers were drafted in the first round, and 5 in the top ten.

NFL Draft 2025 Time and Schedule

The 2025 NFL Draft will broadcast live on ESPN at 8PM E.T. on Thursday, April 24th, 2025.

As per the standard NFL draft procedure, this year’s draft will also take place over the course of three days. The draft will be held from Thursday, April 24 to Saturday, April 26. The first round of the draft will be held on the first day, while rounds 2 and 3 will be held on day 2, and rounds 4-7 will be held on the third day.

NFL Draft 2025 Location

This year the NFL draft will be held at the iconic Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, its adjacent Titletown District, and the Resch Complex. Lambeau Field is the home of the Green Bay Packers, so we can expect to see a lot of Cheeseheads in attendance.

For all those who cannot be present live at the venue, the NFL has you covered as the event will be covered by ESPN, ABC, and the NFL Network.

Top Draft Prospects

As usual, the mock drafts keep changing every now and then after the NFL Combine and the respective Pro Days. Having said that, the cream of the crop players in this draft consists of quarterbacks Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders, who may go number 1 and 2 overall.

Other top offensive players include wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, running back Ashton Jeanty, and tight ends Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland among others. On defense, edge rusher Abdul Carter is the top prospect who was, at one point, expected to go number one overall. Defensive tackle Mason Graham is another prospect to watch out for.

One of the rare players in the 2025 draft is Travis Hunter who is a two-way player. He can play both wide receiver as well as cornerback positions equally well. However, Hunter entered the NFL Combine as a cornerback and may be viewed at that position by teams.

The three days of the NFL draft will be exciting to watch as several top players are also invited to be present for the occasion. Unless and until a trade takes place, the number one overall selection will remain with the Tennessee Titans who will have full control over the proceedings.
