Tampa’s razor-thin 3-0 margin, with minimal point differential, and various injuries scream vulnerability against Hurts’ dual-threat attack.

Expect Mayfield and the Bucs to falter first, with most analysists and pundits leaning on the Eagles to win this contest, handing Bucs their first L while Philly rolls to 4-0 start.

It All Might Come Down to Who’s Defense Holds Up Better!

While we did say that Eagles may be able to take the win and move to 4-0, nothing’s guaranteed in the NFL. When we take both these teams’ defense, closer look tells us that Buccaneers have been better defensively than the Eagles so far.

The Bucs rank 6th in rushing defense, compared to the Eagles who are 24th in the league. The Bucs rank 5th in red zone defense, compared to Philly who are 7th. Meanwhile, the Eagles rank ahead of the Bucs in terms of their passing and scoring defense. Overall, however, the Bucs are placed at 11th place in total defense, to Philly’s 18th place.

Even offensively, the Eagles rank 27th in the league, compared to the Bucs who are at 11th place. The stats tend to lean towards the Buccaneers, however, as mentioned earlier, the Eagles faced some of the toughest competition so far, while the Bucs faced teams that may not exactly be the best, with razor thin point differentials.
