Real Madrid star boy Vinicius Jr. is reportedly expected to have an exit clause in his new contract. This has mainly surfaced over his rumours of joining Saudi Arabia on a record-breaking deal.

The 24-year-old has been reportedly overshadowed since the arrival of Kylian Mbappe. With his current contract set to expire in June 2027, Vinicius Jr. is expected to receive an offer from Real Madrid that includes a special provision allowing him to leave, potentially for a move to Saudi Arabia. Despite being key contributor for Los Blancos in recent seasons, the Brazilian star could be keeping his options open for the future.

Mbappe, who arrived on a record-breaking contract, has surpassed the Brazilian as the highest-paid player at Real Madrid. Many speculate that if Vinicius Jr. chooses to stay, his new deal could be made to match the Frenchman’s earnings.

Vinicius Jr Talked about Renewal with Real Madrid

Despite the exit clause rumours and the links to Saudi, Vinicius Jr. gave affirmation about staying at Real Madrid. In a recent interview in March, the Brazilian focused on his contract situation calling in to sign a renewal “as soon as possible”.

“I’m very calm because I have a contract until 2027 and let’s hope we can renew my contract as soon as possible,” Vinicius told a pre-match press conference on Monday.

“Let’s hope I can score more goals, and play more games in this shirt. My dream as a kid was playing here. Now I’m here, I can win a lot more and go down in the history of this club, which is difficult with all the great legends who’ve played here.”

Even though the Brazilian winger has expressed his happiness playing for Real Madrid, summer transfers could be surprising. Vinicius Jr. has struggled to match his last year’s tally scoring 10 goals in La Liga as of March.

Real Madrid who would be keen to know Vinicius Jr.’s plans wouldn’t be dependent. There have been reports of Carlo Ancelotti already eyeing replacements should the Brazilian decide to leave.
