La Liga's two star players have emerged as top targets for the Red Devils in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is set to have a summer rebuild given the season his team has had in the Premier League. The Portuguese coach, who took charge of United in November last year, has failed to turn the team’s season around and is now reportedly planning new signings for the next season.
According to TEAMtalk, Barcelona’s Raphinha and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams have emerged as top targets for the Red Devils in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Notably, Raphinha, who has been in sensation form this season, has been linked to United over the past. Leading the Spanish side as contenders to multiple trophies this year, the Brazilian has climbed the stairs of being wanted by some of the top clubs.

Atheltic’s Williams, on the other hand has appeared in over 100 games for his club. Proving himself with Spain at the Euros and being consistent on the team sheet, the 22-year-old could be a great addition to Old Trafford.
However, signing La Liga’s young star duo will not be an easy task for United, as they will need to offload players to generate funds to complete the transfers.
Raphinha, who signed with Barcelona in 2022, currently has an annual salary of £10.54 million. His contract expires in June 2027 and the market has valued him at £57.4 million as of February.
Reports have also claimed that United has reportedly submitted a bid of £58 million to Barcelona. However, the Brazilian winger could cost more than these values given the season he’s having.
Athletic Club has received inquiries about Williams from several clubs, with Arsenal being the latest. The youngster will be a tough signing to clinch for United. He is currently on a three-year contract which expires in June 2027 and is currently marked at £50 million on the market as of March.

Achieving the Champions League qualification could also be crucial in signing the star duo. The Red Devils will look to end their season on a high as their only ticket to silverware and Europe remains the Europa League.
