Arsenal would like to strengthen their left wing and have strong intent in signing Athletico Bilbao’s Nico Williams as per reports. The 22-year-old has been wanted by many clubs after making heavy contributions to Spain’s Euro 2024 victory.
The Spaniard has proven his worth at high stages and is certainly someone who would be a starter in any club. The North-London side has struggled for attacking depth and injuries this year and will set out for some recruitments.
Mikel Arteta has been looking for someone to join forces with Gabriel Martinelli on the left side. The Brazilian has also struggled with injury problems in recent times. The addition of Williams would certainly add a different dynamic to the Gunners’ side should they sign him.
Arsenal are set to sign Nico Williams for a triggering price of €58 million ($63 million), as per CaughtOffside. The reports also state that several other clubs like Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United have also come asking for the youngster.
Having made over 150 senior appearances as a 22-year-old, Williams could be considered a strengthened winger. However, no negotiations of contracts are confirmed by either of the clubs.

Williams who joined Athletic Bilbao in 2021 has made 12y6 appearances for the club. Talking about his thoughts on his future are the club, he told France Williams France Football:
