The Golden State Valkyries (10-12) have been one of the sweetest surprises this season. The franchise debuting this season has put the league on notice.
On the other hand, Paige Bueckers has also put the league on notice during her rookie season. Many eyes will be on her as her Dallas Wings (7-17) will tackle the Valkyries’ threat. How will Bueckers fare in this match-up? Here is a look at the player props for this matchup.
Bueckers has surpassed the offensive expectations. She is tallying a robust 18.2 PPG on a brilliant 44.9% FG. She scored 14 in the emphatic win against the Seattle Storm. The guard has scored 18+ in 10 of the 19 games.
The projected mark of 17.5 is thus a ‘little risky’ but within the expected odds. She scored 20 in the last game against the Valkyries, and I expect her to lock in for a similar performance.
Bueckers- Points Over 17.5 for +100 at BetMGM
| Props | BetMGM Odds |
| Bueckers O 17.5 Points | +100 |
| Bueckers U 5.5 Assists | -125 |
| Burton O 5.5 Assists | -135 |
| Hayes O 14.5 Points | -105 |
The Wings guard has also surpassed expectations as a playmaker. The Rookie of the Year frontrunner has dished out 5.5 assists per game. The mark is above her NCAA career average of 4.5( 4.6 APG final season).
The All-Star has delivered 6 or more helpers in two straight games, but dished fewer than 5 in three straight games before that. Overall, I expect her to go ‘Under’ here.
Bueckers- Assists Under 5.5 for -125 at BetMGM
Burton has become one of the best playmakers in the W. Burton has averaged 5.4 APG, reminiscent of her days with Northwestern University in the NCAA field. The Valkyries’ guard has been a huge reason behind the team’s unprecedented returns.
She has done well lately, dishing out 6 or more assists in four of the last five games. Thus, opting for “over” in terms of assists may not be that risky.
Assists- Burton Over 5.5 at -135 for BetMGM
Veteran guard Hayes has been one of the most reliable scorers for the Valkyries. She is tallying 12.8 PPG, and her role has increased after the injury to leading scorer, Kayla Thornton.
The SG has put up 12.8 PPG, but has scored 12 or fewer in three of the five games. But I see her bounce back from her off nights after a week-long plus break and go “over” the mark.
Points- Hayes Over 14.5 for -105 at BetMGM

nba Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
