Joseph Morales made his case for a top-fifteen ranking with a first-round submission victory over Matt Schnell. Surprisingly, the veteran Schnell initiated the grappling exchanges, giving Morales opportunities to sweep and land in dominant positions. Uros Medic absolutely destroyed Muslim Salikhov just sixty-three seconds into their welterweight bout. ‘The Doctor’ hurt the 41 year old veteran with a heavy kick immediately, then dropped him with a left hand down the pipe. Another left hand on the ground forced the stoppage at 1:03 of round one.

Chris Padilla patiently waited for Ismael Bonfim to fatigue before securing a second-round TKO at 4:30. That’s four straight UFC wins for Padilla with three stoppages. Christian Leroy Duncan kicked off the main card with a statement knockout of Marco Tulio at 3:20 of round two, landing a spinning backfist followed by a right hand that sent the Brazilian to the shadow realm.

Jamall Emmers closed out the prelims with a unanimous decision victory over Hyder Amil, using his grappling effectively in rounds two and three to secure 29-27, 30-27, 30-27 scores. Raoni Barcelos won a closely contested battle against Ricky Simon via unanimous decision with all three judges scoring it 29-28.

Jacqueline Cavalcanti remained unbeaten in the UFC by defeating former title challenger Mayra Bueno Silva unanimously with 30-27, 30-27, 29-28 scores. That’s five straight UFC victories for the Portuguese fighter. Josh Hokit earned his first UFC victory in spectacular fashion, knocking out Max Gimenis just fifty-six seconds into round one. The heavyweight remains undefeated at 7-0 overall.

Denise Gomes outpointed Tecia Pennington to unanimous decision victory, extending her winning streak to four fights. Daniel Marcos rebounded from his first career loss by submitting Miles Johns with a rear-naked choke at 4:23 of round two. Zach Reese opened the night with a second-round submission over Jackson McVey, surviving early trouble to sink in the fight-ending choke at 1:38.
