UFC Veteran Dismisses Potential Superfight After Alex Pereira's Secret Meeting with Dana White Sparks Speculation!
The UFC‘s light heavyweight division was in a bit of a mess after Jon Jones walked out on the belt. But, these days, fans got Alex Pereira, the man with fists that could probably knock out a brick wall. And currently, he is stirring up all kinds of excitement.
Chael Sonnen, who never met a microphone he didn’t like, just dropped some juicy news. It turns out Pereira recently had a hush-hush meeting with Dana White. This had everyone wondering what went down behind those closed doors.

Fans know it’s serious business when fighters start having private chats with the boss. A few months back, Sonnen had teased the possibility of a showdown between Pereira and interim heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall for January 2025 in California.
But like most fight plans in the UFC, things changed fast. That particular card is now all wrapped up, and there’s no Alex Pereira vs. Aspinall in sight. This situation is more intriguing because ‘Poatan’ has already shot down a fight with Magomed Ankalaev, the division’s number one contender.
“That story as I understood it, at the time that I understood it, which was limited at best to be fair. But a lot of the motivation of doing that fight did have to do with that date. So that date now taken care of, I would assume, possibly falsely, that the appetite, that was limited to begin with, for Aspinall and Pereira is gone.”
So, the crux is Alex Pereira walking out of Dana White’s office wearing a big smile. Ankalaev’s out, Aspinall’s probably out, and everyone’s guessing what’s next. Maybe he has got that Jon Jones fight he’s been dreaming about, or perhaps Dana’s cooked up something even more spectacular.
Whatever comes out of this meeting, one thing’s for sure: The UFC’s upper weight classes have become highly unpredictable. And honestly, that’s exactly how fight fans like it. Now, fans just have to wait and see what kind of chaos Alex Pereira and Dana White have planned for them.
