The 29-year-old Georgian has been locked in with his training, sharing intense sessions with reigning lightweight champion Ilia Topuria, who remains razor-sharp after defending his title.

Recent clips from their camp show the brothers drilling planks and conditioning drills, with Aleksandre Topuria looking absolutely shredded. Even his his brother Ilia, the motivator, is cornering his brother while staying in elite shape post his June knockout of Charles Oliveira, ensuring the Topuria name continues to stay dominant.

Aleksandre Topuria Second UFC Bout

Aleksandre Topuria (6-1) steps back into the cage against Bekzat Almakhan in bantamweight action on the UFC Qatar Fight Night undercard. The bout pits the surging Topuria, fresh off a four-fight win streak since his 2021 comeback, against the 28-year-old Almakhan (12-2-0), who rebounded from a 2024 short-notice loss to Umar Nurmagomedov with a blistering 64-second KO of Brad Katona at UFC 315 in May.

Topuria’s UFC debut came in February 2025 at UFC 312, where he earned a unanimous decision victory over Colby Thicknesse in Sydney. After a six-year hiatus post his lone career loss in 2015, he helped mold Ilia into a world champ. Now, with Ilia’s guidance, he’s poised to build momentum in Qatar.

The stacked UFC Qatar card also features various clashes with Kyoji Horiguchi facing Tagir Ulanbekov, Alex Perez vs Asu Almabayev, Volkan Oezdemir, Alonzo Menifield. And topping the bill features Arman Tsarukyan vs Dan Hooker and Belal Muhammad vs Ian Machado Garry.
