The judges scored it 29-28, 29-28, and 30-27 for Song, though the anticlimactic ending left a cloud over what was developing into an exciting contest. Poor ‘Triple C’ couldn’t catch a break. He is now on a three fight losing skid.

Co-Main Event: Anthony Hernandez Continues To Rise

Anthony “Fluffy” Hernandez proved his first win over Brendan Allen was no fluke, securing another decision victory in their rematch. The fight was a grappling chess match for three rounds, with Hernandez’s pressure proving too much for Allen in the final frame. The victory marks Hernandez’s seventh straight win, putting him in elite company with Ciao Borralho (7) as the middleweights with longer current win streaks.

UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs. Song Main Card Results

The rest of the main card delivered solid action throughout. Rob Font showed he’s still got plenty left in the tank, edging out promising prospect Jean Matsumoto in a back-and-forth split decision.

The always entertaining Jean Silva continued his impressive run, becoming the first fighter to stop Melsik Baghdasaryan with strikes in the opening round. The Fighting Nerds member has shown promise and is a prospect to watch out for. In the main card opener, veteran Alonzo Menifield welcomed Julius Walker to the UFC with a grinding split decision win that probably won’t make anyone’s highlight reel.

The prelims were a finish-fest that would make Dana White proud, with all seven fights ending inside the distance.
