UFC 322 lands in the United States on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The main event packs huge stakes as welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena defends his belt against Islam Makhachev, who is moving up from lightweight for his first shot at 170 pounds. A win makes Makhachev a two-division champ in UFC history, accomplished by very few. The co-main event is just as big as flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko risks her title against Zhang Weile, the ex-strawweight champ moving up to claim a second belt.
This card features multiple former champs and well known contenders including Leon Edwards vs Carlos Prates in welterweight, Sean Brady vs Michael Morales at welterweight, and Beneil Dariush vs Benoit Saint-Denis in lightweight. There are more thrills to come and it’s a stacked night where potential history could be made.
Joe Rogan returns to the UFC broadcast teams for UFC 322 after missing the Abu Dhabi event. He skipped UFC 321, where Laura Sanko stepped in, but Rogan always calls major U.S. pay-per-views. He joins his usual partners including play-by-play lead Jon Anik and color analyst Daniel Cormier, the UFC Hall of Famer. Megan Olivi handles inside-the-arena reporting from Madison Square Garden.
UFC officials confirmed the lineup to MMA Fighting on Tuesday. It is good to see Rogan back as his sharp insights, paired with Cormier’s fighter perspective and Anik’s smooth calls, make this one of the year’s best broadcasts.
While there are a lot of bouts that will be interesting to watch, nothing tops JDM vs Makhachev. Della Maddalena is currently riding a 18-fight win streak and is looking to beat Makhachev, who is considered of one of the all-time greats. After beating Belal Muhammad at UFC 315, which was one of the biggest upsets so far in 2025, if JDM can pull off a win against Islam, he should immediately be considered one of the best welterweights of all time. However, if Makhachev pulls off a win, not only will he be a two-division champ, but he will also be arguably considered a hall of famer.

If Islam wins this bout at UFC 322, this could also possibly open doors for a potential blockbuster fight against undefeated lightweight champ Ilia Topuria, which could go down as arguably the biggest fight in UFC history.

mma I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
