Madison Square Garden has always held special significance for combat sports. Boxing legends made their names under those bright lights. Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, and countless others created history there. The UFC has embraced that tradition over the past decade. Some of the promotion’s biggest moments happened inside that iconic venue. Saturday night added another memorable chapter to MSG’s fighting legacy. UFC 322 delivered from top to bottom with incredible action.

Championship fights lived up to the hype in every way. Upsets shocked the betting favorites throughout the preliminary card. Knockouts and submissions kept fans on their feet all night. UFC 322 showcased why MMA continues growing worldwide with Islam Makhachev’s dominance leading the way. Let’s recap the results of the UFC 322 card

UFC 322 Main Card Result

Islam Makhachev became a two-division champion by thoroughly dominating Jack Della Maddalena. The Dagestani made it look easy against the Australian titleholder. He scored takedowns at will throughout all five rounds consistently. The judges scored it 50-45 across the board for Makhachev. With this win, he (28-1)joined an exclusive club of only eleven fighters holding titles in two weight classes. His victory also tied Anderson Silva’s record with sixteen consecutive UFC wins.

Valentina Shevchenko successfully defended her flyweight championship against Zhang Weili in the co-main event. Bullet showcased her complete skill set over five rounds masterfully. She blended striking and grappling perfectly to neutralize Zhang’s attacks. The judges gave Shevchenko every single round on all three scorecards (50-45). This marked her ninth successful title defense across two championship reigns.

Michael Morales delivered a first-round destruction of Sean Brady before that. The undefeated Ecuadorian prospect landed a devastating combination that ended things quickly. Brady hit the canvas and Morales pounced with ground strikes for the finish. That’s now seven straight UFC victories for the 26 year old phenom.

Carlos Prates knocked out former champion Leon Edwards with a perfectly placed left hand. Rocky had success wrestling in the first round by controlling Prates. But Prates attacked Edwards’ pride and got him trading strikes. One laser-targeted punch sent Edwards crashing to the canvas unconscious. With this, Prates became the first person to ever knock out Edwards cold.

Benoit Saint-Denis opened the main card with an absolute banger. He knocked out Beneil Dariush with a clubbing left hand just sixteen seconds in. The ‘God of War’ landed the shot in the clinch immediately and Dariush went face-first into the canvas from the impact!

UFC 322 Prelim Results

Bo Nickal bounced back from his first career loss with authority. He finished Rodolfo Vieira with a beautiful head kick in round three. The former wrestling champion showed improved striking throughout the fight. His left head kick landed flush and ended things immediately.

Gregory Rodrigues outworked Roman Kopylov over three rounds for a unanimous decision. Robocop’s power and pressure proved too much for the Russian who looked clueless. Erin Blanchfield avenged her earlier loss to Tracy Cortez in the regional circuits with a rear-naked choke. She snatched the submission late in the second round beautifully.

Ethyn Ewing pulled off a huge upset over Malcolm Wellmaker via decision. The short-notice replacement showed he belonged with the hyped prospect. With this, he ended the Wellmaker hype train and started his own.

UFC 322 Early Prelim Results

Kyle Daukaus lived up to his D’arce Knight nickname perfectly. He submitted Gerald Meerschaert in just fifty seconds with his signature choke. Pat Sabatini ground out Chepe Mariscal for three rounds to earn revenge.
