The world of UFC never fails to deliver drama, and UFC 311 is already proving that point perfectly. Just when fight fans thought they had the main event all figured out, the MMA gods threw a classic curveball. Islam Makhachev was all set to defend his lightweight crown against Arman Tsarukyan, but fate had other plans.

With Tsarukyan’s last-minute withdrawal, Renato Moicano stepped up to face the champion on just 24 hours notice. It’s the kind of chaos that makes MMA so thrilling and changes all the odds and predictions in an instant.

Betting Odds For UFC 311 Main Card

The betting odds tell quite a story, with Islam Makhachev entering as a massive –900 favorite against Moicano’s +600 underdog status. These numbers make perfect sense, given the circumstances. Makhachev has been nearly untouchable in his reign as champion, showcasing a blend of wrestling prowess and improved striking. Moicano, while riding an impressive four-fight win streak, faces the steepest challenge of his career with virtually no preparation time.

In the co-main event, fans have got another fascinating title fight as Merab Dvalishvili defends his bantamweight belt against Umar Nurmagomedov. The odds favor Nurmagomedov at -320, despite Dvalishvili’s (+250) recent dominance. It’s a fight that’s gotten personal, with Dvalishvili clearly irritated by what he sees as Nurmagomedov’s unearned shot at the title.

The rest of the main card is stacked, too – Jiri Prochazka (-140) returns against Jamahal Hill (+110) in what promises to be a striking fans’ dream. Newly promoted Jailton Almeida (-480) vs. Serghei Spivac (+360) will also be an entertaining fight for the fans. Kevin Holland (-105) faces Reiner de Ridder (-115) in an entertaining middleweight clash.

Predictions And Picks For UFC 311 Main Card

For the UFc 311 main event, we are backing Makhachev to retain his title via submission in Round 1. It’s hard to argue with that logic, considering Monaco is taking this fight on such short notice. Plus, Makhachev’s dominance is hard to pick against. The co-main event is more interesting, with both these fighters having similar grappling-heavy styles. We are going with Umar Nurmagomedov by unanimous decision.

The Jiri Prochazka- Jamahal Hill fight has been a coin flip. While most favor Prochazka’s chaotic energy, we have to go with Jamahal Hill, winning via TKO in Round 2. He has more polished boxing, his defense is better and is better technically.

For the Jailton Almeida vs. Serghei Spivac Fight, we are favoring Almeida to submit Spivac in Round 2. His elite wrestling pedigree almost guarantees that the fight will go to the ground, and from there, it is a piece of cake.

As for the last fight on the main card, we have to go with Reinier de Ridder via submission in Round 3, once again, due to his better ground game. However, Kevin Holland is no joke. He has the power to knock out anyone, but de Ridder’s ground game is just too good for the ‘TrailBlazer.’
