Tyrese Haliburton Receives Warning from NBA Office for Infamous “Big Balls” Dance After Cavs-Pacers Game 2!

Haliburton will be in action at home for Pacers-Cavaliers Game 3 on Friday night.

Tyrese Haliburton has led the Pacers in taking a commanding 2-0 lead against the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Indiana overcame a 20-point deficit to beat Cleveland 120-119 in Game 2. After the game, Haliburton made a infamous “Big Balls” dance and still survived a fine from the league.

Haliburton hit a game-winning three-pointer to snatch a victory from the Cavaliers. The Pacers guard drained the go-ahead three with a hand in his face. Later, the All-Star guard walked toward the center circle and performed the “Big Balls” dance as the crowd remained silent in Ohio.

Haliburton was ready to take fine for his celebration but NBA issued warning only

Tyrese Haliburton talked about his celebration after Game 2 and the Pacers guard was expecting a fine from the league. Haliburton feels that his celebration came at the right moment and he was okay to take fine from the NBA.

“I’ve been waiting for that. I’ve been waiting for that, man,” Haliburton spoke to the reporters after Game 2, when asked about the celebration and whether he expected to face the consequences from the NBA. “It was just right in the moment. It was right in the moment. Yeah, man, I’ve been waiting for that. I’ll take that fine, gladly.

As per the latest report of ESPN, Haliburton received only a warning from the NBA office instead. A source talked to ESPN regarding Indiana guard’s celebration and the league office’ warning.

Previously, players like LeBron James, Eddie House, Julius Randle, and Fred VanVleet have been fined for what the NBA has described as an “obscene gesture.” Haliburton might serve the fine if he does it again later in the playoffs. Players who use it typically receive a fine upwards of $15,000.

Haliburton will be in action at home for Pacers-Cavaliers Game 3 on Friday night. Indiana would look to sweep the series at home and the Cavaliers would look to bounce back in the series.
