Tyler Warren 2025 NFL Draft Projection- Where Will the Penn State Star Land?

Eric Divakaran

Penn State’s, Tyler Warren, plays the tight end spot and is one of the top prospects for the 2025 NFL Draft. He was a standout at Penn State, where Warren earned the John Mackey award as the nation’s premier tight end. He played his high school football at Atlee, where he excelled as a multi-sport athlete, including baseball, basketball, and football.

As the starting quarterback for Atlee, he showcased his dual-threat ability throwing for 876 yards, and nine touchdowns, while rushing for 554 yards. Warren initially committed to play college football for Virginia Tech, but later he decided to join Penn State instead.

As a redshirt freshman, Warren played as a tight end and fullback, as he recorded 61 yards, a touchdown, and two rushing touchdowns. In 2024, he set a tight end record with 17 catches against USC and finished the season with 104 receptions, 1233 yards, and 8 touchdowns, solidifying himself as a first-round draft talent.

Tyler Warren’s Draft Profile

Tyler Warren boasts NFL caliber size and weight, as he is 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 255 pounds, which meets most teams’ requirements. He has explosive acceleration after catches, a wide catch radius, and can track the ball extremely well. Warren’s versatility is something that many could use as he could be the perfect offensive weapon. However, his run-blocking techniques require more work, and he can also be disrupted by physical contact as his tall frame causes slight transitional delays, impacting his efficiency.

Tyler Warren’s 2025 NFL Draft Projection

Tyler Warren is projected to be drafted as the 5th overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars may draft Warren for his versatility, which could fit in Liam Coen’s offense. His elite 2024 stats, uncertain tight end depth for the Jaguars, and top-10 draft stock, makes his a good fit for the Jaguars.

I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
