Tottenham Transfer News: Move for Morgan Gibbs-White and Yoane Wissa’s Preference

Mayur Dedwal

Updates on Spurs’ bids for Gibbs-White and Wissa’s desired switch to north London.

Tottenham Hotspur under new manager Thomas Frank is escalating their recruitment process. After signing Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United, the Lilywhites have turned their focus to some more attacking options to join the Lane.

Frank after a successful season with Brentford will also try to bring in some of the players from the Bees. With Yoane Wissa looking for new opportunities, the timing for Frank and the forward could just be right for a move to North London. Additionally, Tottenham is also actively seeking Nottingham’s Morgan Gibbs-White to strengthen their midfield.

Nottingham Forest’s Retention Battle for Gibbs-White

Nottingham Forest are actively working to persuade Morgan Gibbs-White to commit long-term, amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur. Forest is offering new contract terms to secure Gibbs-White and remove his release clause.

This comes after Forest alleges Tottenham illegally obtained information about the release clause and is considering legal action. Preventing the scheduled medical from last week with the appeal, Forest is now keen on making the English International stay for the upcoming season.

Tottenham remains keen on signing Gibbs-White this summer, aiming to resolve the deal this week, though Forest insists he is not for sale. Gibbs-White after already agreeing on personal terms will have his future hanging as the transfer saga continues.

Yoane Wissa’s Preference Move to Tottenham

Brentford. Wissa prefers to join Tottenham under the former manager, but Brentford are reluctant to lose both leading scorers. With the strong interest of Manchester United in Bryan Mbeumo, the Bees will be keen to ho at least one of their top performers from the previous season.

Along with Tottenham, clubs like Newcastle and Bayern Munich have also expressed interest in the forward. Brentford value Wissa at £50m, which would surpass the £40m record from Ivan Toney’s transfer. Wissa’s contract runs until 2026, with a 12-month extension option which might add to his value should a club approach him this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur after the Europa League victory will compete in the Champions League 2025/26. Requiring the depth to compete at European levels, Frank has set eyes on some of the best available players. The squad will also benefit from recent signings like Mohammed Kudus and Mathys Tel, emphasising experience and versatility.
