The Orlando Magic Could Acquire $285 Million Superstar Potentially Changing the Entire Picture in the Eastern Conference

The Orlando Magic have a young core of Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, Cole Anthony, and Jalen Suggs, who have been nothing but amazing so far in their young careers. They have helped the Magic reach the NBA playoffs in back-to-back seasons, and one of the upcoming teams that we need to keep an eye on. Out of the four, Banchero and Wagner are the stars for their team, and after a lot of time rebuilding, the Magic are finally a relevant team that could be a great playoff team moving forward. The are a great team defensively, however, offensively the Magic still need some changes to be made, if they hope to contend for a title. The Magic were far from the top 10 offense, and we saw them struggle heavily against some of the top defensive teams in the regular season. In the modern NBA, scoring the basketball is one of, if not, the most important aspect and without it, teams cannot win much.

While the Magic traded for Kentavious Caldwell Pope last offseason, that hasn’t cleared away there problems. However, now that their season is over, after losing to the Boston Celtics in the first round, a new trade suggestion has emerged, which could help the Magic become title contenders if it all works out. The Magic Could Trade for Jaylen Brown in the Near Future

The Orlando Magic are knocking the door when it comes to making a deep playoff run. Their defense is already set, but their offense needs some change and according to an article from ClutchPoints.com, the Magic could trade for Boston Celtics’ superstar, Jaylen Brown, in the near future.

The Boston Celtics have some decisions to make this offseason because of their absurd payroll (the highest in the NBA). The Celtics simply cannot afford to keep all the pieces they have because of the new CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement). The only untouchable superstar for the Celtics is likely Jayson Tatum and even Jaylen Brown could be traded in the near future. This could mean that Jaylen Brown decides to join their Eastern Conference rival, but for what price?

Well, the Orlando Magic would have to give up quite a lot for Jaylen Brown as, Brad Stevens, general manager of the Celtics, is not going to give away Brown for pennies. These could mean multiple first round picks, and a couple of players including a deal surrounding Jaylen Brown. However, if the Magic decide to trade for Brown, it would be meaningless if the Wagner, one of their stars, is swapped for Brown. The idea around this trade is to somehow keep Wagner and Banchero in the mix, and also include Brown.

As unlikely as it sounds, if the Magic pull this off, the Magic would have a big three on their roster and with Brown, Banchero, and Wagner, the Orlando Magic would be the automatic favorites, at least in the East. Meanwhile, the Celtics would significantly fall off if they trade away their second-best player.
