Pacers falter as Knicks storm back

The Indiana Pacers had a strong start to their game three. Both teams looked good on the offensive end. The Pacers took a 30-26 lead in the first quarter. The home court was buzzing for their team against the New York Knicks on Sunday.

The Knicks couldn’t deliver in the second quarter as well, as they fell short to a massive lead against the Pacers. The second quarter Knicks vs. Pacers score read 28-19, and the home team now had a double-digit lead going into the half-time.

Tyrese Haliburton continued his fine run in the Knicks vs. Pacers series, delivering crucial plays in the first half. However, the game was far from over like the series. Despite a healthy lead, the Pacers found themselves in an uncomfortable territory during the second half.

Problems emerged for the home side when Aaron Nesmith was helped off to the locker room. Losing the Small forward would come as a huge blow to the side, but thankfully the Pacers star didn’t suffer a serious injury. He was quickly back to the bench.

New York Responds with Scoring Surge

The New York Knicks started the third quarter on a high, going on a scoring run. They continued this fine going throughout the quarter. And the Pacers who had to rotate their starters due to game management looked short on the side of scoring.

The Knicks reduced the double-digit deficit to just single digit coming into the fourth quarter. Many felt that the Pacers were going to fly past smoothly, but that wasn’t the story. New York cruised their way back into the Knicks vs. Pacers game.

They brought their A game into the last 12 minutes of the game. Both teams put up a defensive game in the last few minutes of the game. OG Anunoby and Pascal Siakam were brilliant in blocking shots at either end. Josh Hart’s rebound off a Turner three point attempt gave the Knicks the victory on Sunday.

They won the Knicks vs. Pacers game 3 by 106-100. Jalen Brunson went on to score 23 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns put up 24 points. Tyrese Haliburton on the other side scored 19 points. They needed the role players to step up.
