The Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese rivalry took another twist as the Indiana Fever guard mocked Reese during Sunday’s game in Chicago. Chicago Sky recently hosted arch rivals Indiana Fever at the United Center, with the visitors coming out on top again.

Though sidelined with a quad injury, Caitlin Clark still managed to steal the spotlight and make the headlines. The 23-year-old mocked her nemesis Angel Reese in an incident. This occurred during the third quarter, with the clock ticking at 4:49 minutes.

Angel Reese drove into the paint but was called for traveling, costing Chicago a key possession. On the sidelines, Caitlin Clark mocked her rival for the travel. As the whistle blew, Clark waved her hands mimicking a travel call, drawing laughs from fans nearby.

Clark rarely showed this aggressive edge in her rookie season. But now, she’s clapping back at rivals in her second year. She is slowly changing her reputation from an on-court victim to a fierce competitor.

Fever Dominate Sky Without Caitlin Clark

Analysts and fans were skeptical of how the Indiana Fever will handle a motivated Chicago Sky without Caitlin Clark. Moreover, it was a game that was being played in Chicago, giving another disadvantage to the Fever. However, contrary to the belief, the visitors ravaged their counterparts.

The Fever outplayed the Sky in every quarter, cruising to a commanding 79-52 win in Chicago. Even without Clark, the Fever’s offense fired on all cylinders. Kelsey Mitchell went on to score 17 points, Natasha Howard 13 points and Aari McDonald with 12 points.

On the other side, Angel Reese finished with just four points on the night. She shot 2-of-7 from the field. None of the Chicago players managed to hit double digits in scoring, highlighting the team’s offensive struggles. Kamilla Cardoso led the Sky with eight points, the team’s highest scorer on a tough night. Chicago Sky are now placed at 11th overall with just two wins to their name.
