Terry McLaurin Next Team Odds – Where Will Commanders’ Receiver Land in the 2025-26 NFL Season?

Devavrat Kulkarni

Where will Terry McLaurin play in the upcoming season?

Just ahead of the preseason opener last night, the Washington Commanders received the news that wide receiver Terry McLaurin has requested a trade. Amidst the ongoing contract negotiations, McLaurin and the Commanders are unable to reach an agreement.

The veteran receiver has seen many of his peers receive huge contract extensions, such as Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, DK Metcalf, and more. McLaurin’s contributions to the Commanders have been immense, and last season was one of the best in a long time for the NFC East franchise.

Having formed a formidable connection with second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels, the Commanders would do well to keep their star receiver on the roster, but even after skipping the first few days of training camp and currently holding in, Washington has refused to budge.

Terry McLaurin’s Best Odds for Next Team

Following a trade request by the 30-year-old receiver, here are the best odds via DraftKings Sportsbook for Terry McLaurin’s next team should both parties fail to meet on common ground.

Terry McLaurin top odds for next team via DraftKings

  • Commanders -250
  • Patriots +450
  • Raiders +500
  • Titans +1100
  • Chargers +1100
  • Jets +1300
  • Browns +1400
  • Steelers +1500
  • Cardinals +1600
  • Seahawks +2500

The best odds still have McLaurin in Washington, although they have taken somewhat of a hit from -400 the previous week. Ideally, if a new deal gets done, it will be in the best interest of both parties, as McLaurin has mentioned his desire to continue with the Commanders.

However, should the Commanders take the trade route, the next best option, as per the odds, is the Patriots, followed by the Raiders. New England had one of the worst offenses last season and could use all the help it can get, while Vegas is still considered to be the weakest link in the AFC West.

The Titans and Chargers come in next with +1100 odds. Again, Tennessee is sailing in the same boat as that of the Patriots and Raiders, but for McLaurin, the positive could be Cam Ward under center, although he is unproven at this stage so far. As for Los Angeles, this could be a great fit as the Chargers have a young receiving core, and the experience of McLaurin could come in handy.

Then come the Jets, Browns, Steelers, and Cardinals with +1300, +1400, +1500, and +1600 odds. The Jets already have Garrett Wilson, but if they land McLaurin, then it can be a dynamic duo, which would be the same situation in Pittsburgh, which has DK Metcalf.

The upcoming few days will be interesting in Washington, and even though McLaurin has requested a trade, it doesn’t mean the Commanders have to comply. In fact, other notable receivers such as Tee Higgins, Deebo Samuel, and Brandon Aiyuk have also ventured down this path earlier, but none were traded in the same season.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
