Taylor Fritz Joins Players like Djokovic, Alcaraz in the Elite Club of ATP Milestone

It was completely a tennis masterclass from Fritz and Lehecka as the match lasted 39 games without a break of serve. The American ace delivered two aces in the final tiebreaker of the match and wrapped up the game. With this win, Fritz set a new milestone in his career and he joined an elite club of players.

Taylor Fritz made into his 14th career Masters 1000 quarterfinals and second of the season. He has now reached the last-8 of the all Masters tournament and joined the elite club of current players.

Current players who reached QFs of all ATP Masters 1000 events:

  • Novak Djokovic
  • Carlos Alcaraz
  • Alexander Zverev
  • Andrey Rublev
  • Daniel Medvedev
  • Stefanos Tsitsipas
  • Marin Cilic
  • Grigor Dimitrov
  • Gael Monfils
  • Hubert Hurkacz
  • Taylor Fritz

“Making all the Masters quarters is really cool,” Fritz said during the post-match. “It shows consistency. Today I had to accept that parts of my game were just not there. I was bailed out by a lot of first serves, but I was making too many mistakes.”

Fritz won the 1000 Masters event only once when he defeated Rafael Nadal in the final at 2022 Indian Wells. Last year, he reached the ATP Finals where he lost to Jannik Sinner. The US No. 1 will now take on Andrey Rublev in the quarterfinals in Toronto.
