Even superstars from SmackDown fell prey to their assault, and LA Knight was one of them.

The rivalry between CM Punk and Seth Rollins started when the former returned to WWE. Their way in WWE has been entangled ever since. Seth Rollins’s obsession with CM Punk has cost the latter numerous opportunities. He was the reason CM Punk lost at the Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania Main Event. CM Punk won the World Heavyweight Championship, defeating Gunther, but lost in less than 5 minutes to Seth Rollins, all thanks to his MITB Cash-in. This was the only title he won since his return to WWE.

Seth Rollins To Defend His World Heavyweight Title in a Fatal Four-Way

Long before CM Punk lost his title to Seth Rollins, Jey Uso defeated Gunther at WrestleMania to become the World Heavyweight Champion, but he lost it to Gunther again, and Seth Rollins and his crew were indirectly responsible for it. Jey Uso has tried saving CM Punk, Sami Zayn, and other wrestlers from the assault of Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed, and Bron Breakker.

This saving came at the cost as Jey Uso injured his midsection after receiving three Tsunamis from Bronson Reed before his title defence against Gunther. Gunther only needed a slight advantage, and he grabbed the opportunity with both hands.

LA Knight is the other superstar who lost many opportunities due to the interruption from Seth Rollins’ crew. While LA Knight and Seth Rollins faced each other, Seth Rollins suffered an injury. The match had to be closed early, but it was later revealed that Seth Rollins faked his injury to catch CM Punk off guard at SummerSlam and cash in on him.

LA Knight faced Seth Rollins again, and the latter was about to stomp LA Knight on the concrete floor when CM Punk attacked Seth Rollins. LA Knight and CM Punk had a dispute as the former blamed Punk for interrupting his match.

Adam Pearce Punished Seth Rollins For Lying to Him

Adam Pearce didn’t like that Seth Rollins lied to him about his injury and was only waiting for an opportunity to punish him.

Seth Rollins, CM Punk, Jey Uso, and LA Knight have met inside the ring twice ever since their match was announced. It initially seemed Seth Rollins was the one who had issues with all three of his opponents, while CM Punk and LA Knight had some misunderstanding that could be resolved with time.

The dispute between CM Punk and LA Knight escalated further, and Jey Uso delivered a super kick to both of them, which further intensified the fatal four-way match.

Seth Rollins is speculated to retain his title, as this is a no-disqualification match.
