Sebastian Vettel will be supporting Lewis Hamilton this year!

Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton share one of the best rivalries of the modern era. The German driver was one of the main rivals competing against Hamilton in the turbo-hybrid era. Sebastian Vettel is also among the legendary drivers of the sport. He is a four-time world driver’s champion. Vettel won the 2010-2013 driver’s championship with Red Bull Racing.

Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton had one of the most aggressive rivalries of Formula 1. The pair often clashed together on and off track. Although, Vettel maintained a friendly attitude with Hamilton usually.

Sebastian Vettel retired from F1 in 2022. He left the sport after spending his last two years at Aston Martin F1. Vettel left a void in the sport of F1 which hardly any other driver could fulfil. He was given a grand farewell by the entirety of the F1 paddock owing to his stature as a driver and more importantly, as an amicable person on the grid.

Sebastian Vettel has not been thinking about returning to F1. He was rumored to join Porsche for their WEC program but Vettel did not go through with those plans either. There are some speculations about the second seat at Audi in 2026. It is rumored that Vettel might earn a chance at Audi in 2026.

Sebastian Vettel is Wishing for Hamilton’s 8th Championship

Lewis Hamilton was on the cusp of winning his 8th championship title in 2021. He was about to break the record created years ago by Michael Schumacher. However, in a tragic turn of events, Hamilton lost his 8th title to Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing. Lewis Hamilton was ready to bounce back only to fall prey to a slow Mercedes in 2022-2024. Hamilton was unable to continue his dominant streak of championships. He had to struggle badly to earn one or two podiums in his Mercedes. However, Hamilton found himself a new home in 2025. He will be racing for Scuderia Ferrari in 2025. Scuderia Ferrari is also the team where Seb raced from 2015-2020. Vettel was among the championship favorites in 2017 and 2018.

Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton share a lot in F1 together. They have been supporting each other as drivers for many years. Lewis Hamilton does not shy away from claiming that Sebastian Vettel is indeed the best world champion. Hamilton considers the fact that Seb’s attitude and his efforts to promote other issues as a champion set him apart. Sebastian Vettel also shared the dream of winning a championship in Rosso Corsa colors, however, he could not make it come true. But it seems like Sebastian Vettel wants his friend to win it in his stead. Vettel has joined the list of celebrities rooting for Hamilton after Serena Williams, earlier in 2025.
