Seattle Seahawks Playoff Chances: Can the Seahawks confirm their playoffs spot?

Seattle Seahawks will look to gain the winning momentum again in their game against the Minnesota Vikings

The 2013 Super Bowl champions, the Seahawks, were having a dream run in the NFC West division. Their victory parade of four consecutive games stopped when they lost their game against the Green Bay Packers at the start of week 15. Seattle Seahawks now have three games remaining. They also lost their first position and are now seated at the second position of the NFC West table.

The Seahawks last entered the playoffs in 2022. Their fans want their team to repeat the performance of 2013. The Seahawks will not be able to equal their 13-3 regular season record, but they can still make it 11-6 if they win all their games.

Seattle Seahawks Playoff Chances

The loss against the Green Bay Packers took a huge toll on the Seahawk’s playoff contentions. According to the NFL, the Seattle Seahawks are now seeding eighth for the playoff contention in the NFL. They were previously seeding third and were in the hunt for playoffs. They are now on the bubble and it’s going to be tough for them to qualify for the playoffs.

Seahawks previously had a 51% chance of making it to playoffs. This loss against the Green Bay Packers has reduced their chances to 36%.

Are the Seahawks out of the playoff race?

The Seahawks have slipped the advantage they had and now lost the hold on their playoff spot. Although the NFC West group is wide open, the Seahawks are in the second spot with three games to go. They will have to play their upcoming games against the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and Los Angeles Rams. Each win will solidify their berth for the playoffs.

Seattle Seahawks Record 2024

Seattle Seahawks are currently 8-6 at the start of week 15. They have a win percentage of 57.1%. This percentage will only increase further if they score at least two wins out of the three remaining games. They were on the back of four consecutive wins but a loss against the Green Bay Packers has reduced their playoff chances a lot.

An impressive record of 5-1 in away games made them a tough side to beat. It is their record at home that is concerning. They have only managed to win 3 while they lost 5 in their home condition. They will now play against the Minnesota Vikings who are on a 7-game win streak.

It’s not going to be easy for the Seahawks. They now have an uphill task to score a win against the Vikings to keep their hopes alive.
