NFL 2024-25 Playoffs Picture after Week 15 SNF: Who qualified and who got elimiated?

The playoff race is into the final phase and getting interested day by day

NFL has closed its 15th week and with just three weeks to go, Playoff’s picture is looking more clear than ever. We have seven teams who have sealed their spots till Week 15. Seven teams are in the hunt to qualify for the playoff. Nine teams are on the Bubble and Nine teams have been eliminated already.

Team to seal the spot for playoffs

We have the Kansas City Chiefs, and Buffalo Bills who have dominated the league till now and clinched first and second spots from the AFC. Kansas City Chiefs are 13-1 while the Bills are 11-3 at the end of week 15. The other teams clinching playoff spots from the AFC are Pittsburgh Steelers (10-4) and Houston Texans (9-5). These two teams would lose their spot if they are unable to win any of their remaining games.

According to NFC, Teams clinching playoff spots from NFC are Detroit Lions (12-2), Philadelphia Eagles (12-2), and Minnesota Vikings (12-2). The fourth spot from the NFC is still vacant and teams are still fighting for it.

Team in the Hunt for the playoffs

We have three teams from the AFC and four from the NFC in the hunt for the playoff. The Baltimore Ravens (9-5) are the fifth seeding team from the AFC with a playoff probability greater than 99%. Denver Broncos (9-5) are the sixth-seeder team from the NFC with a playoff probability of 91%. We have the Los Angeles Chargers (8-6) currently seeding seventh with a win probability of 87%.

The team in the playoff hunt from the NFC are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-6) seeding third with a playoff probability of 83%, Los Angeles Rams (8-6) seeding fourth with a 54% chance to qualify for the playoffs. Seeding at sixth position, we have the Green Bay Packers (10-4) with a playoff probability greater than 99%. The Washington Commanders (9-5) are the seventh seeder with a playoff probability of 78%.

Teams on the bubble

We have three teams from the AFC and six from the NFC on the Bubble. We have the Indianapolis Colts (6-8) seeding eighth, Miami Dolphins (6-8) seeding ninth, and Cincinnati Bengals (6-8) seeding tenth from the AFC. These teams have a playoff qualification probability of 10%, 7% and 5% respectively.

We have the Seattle Seahawks (8-6) seeding eighth from the NFC followed by the Atlanta Falcons (7-7) seeding ninth. Both of them have a 36% chance of qualifying for the playoffs. Arizona Cardinals (7-7) are seeding tenth with a playoff probability of 13%.

San Francisco 49ers (6-8) are seeding eleventh, followed by Dallas Cowboys (6-8) at twelfth and New Orleans Saints (5-9) at thirteenth. All these teams have less than a 1% chance of qualifying for the playoffs. They will get eliminated after losing one of their remaining games.

Teams eliminated from the 2024-25 NFL season

Six teams from the AFC and three from the NFC have been eliminated so far. Chicago Bears (4-10) are eliminated from the NFC followed by Carolina Panthers (3-11) and New York Giants (2-12). New York Jets (4-10), Cleveland Browns (3-11), Jacksonville Jaguar (3-11), Tennessee Titans (3-11), New England Patriots (3-11), and Las Vegas Raiders (2-12) are the teams eliminated from the AFC.

We are into the 16th week and the playoff race is getting interesting day by day. Many teams are on close calls and we will see many ups and downs in the table in the coming weeks. While the teams eliminated have nothing to lose, they will play spoilsport for the team trying to make their way to playoffs.
