The San Francisco 49ers have conquered the Chicago Bears in their NFL regular season week 14 matchup. At the end of the 14th week, the 49ers now have 6 wins, with 4 games left this season. Last year’s Super Bowl runner-ups have given their fans a glimmer of hope for clinching a wildcard.

In a must-win game against the Chicago Bears, the 49ers have proven their mettle by thrashing them 38-13. The 49ers will now have to play their next four games against the Rams, Dolphins, Lions and Cardinals.

But do the 49ers have a chance to qualify for the playoffs? Or is it a bit too late for the 5-time Super Bowl champions? Let’s find out.

According to the NFL’s official website, the 49ers have a 9% chance of sealing their places for playoffs after the win against Chicago. They are seeded at the 11th spot for the playoff contentions in the NFC.

They won the game against the Bears after suffering three consecutive losses and are currently last in the NFC West, one of the most competitive divisions this season. Their chances to qualify for the playoffs remain low even after winning the game against the Bears.

What has to happen for the 49ers to make the playoffs?

The Niners will have to win AT LEAST three of their upcoming games to keep their hopes alive for playoffs. Their chances will go up if they are able to secure a win in all four remaining games. They are part of one of the most wide-open divisions in the league but they are still last in the NFC West, which makes matters worse for them.
