Saudi Arabian GP 2025 Predictions and Betting Odds for Sunday

The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix qualifying session has ended on the eve of Saturday. Max Verstappen is going to start the race on pole position after a flying lap during the qualifying session. The trio of the top-3 finishers from Saudi Arabian Grand Prix qualifying session ended up breaking the lap records at Jeddah. However, it was Verstappen who trumped Oscar Piastri and George Russell to set the fastest time.

McLaren have established themselves as the favorites for the weekend once again with their amazing speeds throughout the qualifying and free practice sessions. But, Lando Norris’s crash in Q3 might end up hurting their chances for a double podium finish. The Briton is the championship leader for McLaren but he is going to have to battle through a lot of traffic in order to get ahead this weekend.

Mercedes and Ferrari are nearly equal in terms of pace. But it is Charles Leclerc who leads the team yet again with a fourth place in qualifying. The Jeddah Corniche Circuit awaits the drivers on Sunday with its 27 corners ready to produce a unique challenge at every turn. The fastest street circuit claimed Norris’s qualifying this weekend as he slammed into the wall. It will harder for drivers to focus on saving their cars and overtake others at the same time.

Our Pick for Winning the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix

Based on the results from the previous weekends at Jeddah, Max Verstappen has the best chance for winning the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in 2025. The driver on pole has won the race in three out of four races in Jeddah. Red Bull also the best track record at Saudi Arabia. Verstappen may have faced a lot of problems, but his Red Bull managed to sneak through the gaps in McLaren’s pace.

Verstappen has won one race this season. He is more than ready to take on the challenge of the drivers starting behind him. Unlike other weekends he has faced so far, Verstappen was rather confident in the car this time. He was also rather fast while utilising the optimum racing lines closest to the walls. The best part about Saturday was the “Simply lovely” that echoed on Max Verstappen’s radio this time. The fans were more than eager to hear it this weekend after the draught they have faced since the start of 2025.

Predictions for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix

Our predicted top-10 for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is as follows-

  1. Max Verstappen
  2. Oscar Piastri
  3. George Russell
  4. Lando Norris
  5. Kimi Antonelli
  6. Charles Leclerc
  7. Carlos Sainz
  8. Alex Albon
  9. Lewis Hamilton
  10. Pierre Gasly

Williams F1 are in a good position to claim yet another double points finish with Carlos Sainz leading the team from sixth on the grid. However, the catch is, Sainz simply does not have enough speed in his car to defend against his former teammates. The top order should remain unchanges unless one of them crashes out. Norris will make a lot of progress but he won’t be able to secure a podium finish this weekend. Pierre Gasly will fare better than the other drivers of the midfield. Lewis Hamilton on the other hand will another disappointing weekend. His Ferrari did not show any signs of getting faster in Jeddah after their floor upgrades.

The track is unforgiving and extremely fast. so at least two crashes can be expected. One of the crashes might occur in the inital stage of the race at the turn 1. The other crash will be the courtesy of turn 22 which is the nightmare of drivers around this circuit.
