Saquon Barkley Responds Following Hate Received Over Meeting With Donald Trump

Saquon Barkley clarifies his stance over his meeting with Trump!

Following their Super Bowl LIX victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, the Philadelphia Eagles gathered one more time to celebrate the occasion at the White House on Monday, April 28. As per tradition, every year the Super Bowl winning team is invited to the White House, where the owner, staff, coaches, and players get a chance to meet with the President.

While this is a team event, attendance is optional, and it is left to the individuals to decide whether or not they wish to attend. However, Eagles’ running back Saquon Barkley stirred up quite the controversy over social media when images were seen of him on a personal visit with President Donald Trump.

Barkley’s Meeting With Trump Ahead of the White House Ceremony

As per reports, Barkley was seen hanging out with the President on Sunday, a day prior to the ceremony at the White House. The pair reportedly went a few rounds at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Following their golfing session, the Eagles’ superstar was also seen getting out of a plane with Trump as the President offered him a ride aboard Air Force One. Having spent quality time with Barkley, Trump also said, “What a nice guy!” to reporters prior to boarding the President’s jet.

Apparently, the news of Barkley socializing with the President was not well perceived over social media, leading to the Super Bowl-winning champions’ latest remarks on his social media accounts.
