Zaid Quraishi

Get to know the betting odds, predictions and picks for the upcoming Rodolfo Vieira vs Tresean Gore fight at UFC Vegas 108!

Saturday’s UFC Vegas 108 brings fans a fascinating middleweight clash that perfectly showcases the dynamic fighters . Rodolfo Vieira, one of the most decorated Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioners to ever enter the octagon, faces off against Tresean Gore, a scrappy fighter who’s proven he can hang with anyone on any given night.

Both men are coming off losses and desperately need a win to stay relevant in the crowded 185-pound division. This fight promises fireworks, whether it stays standing or goes to the ground!

Rodolfo Vieira vs Tresean Gore Preview

Rodolfo Vieira brings an incredible 10-3 record into this contest. The Brazilian stands 6’0″ with a 73 inch reach and fights from the orthodox stance. His striking statistics show a fighter who’s comfortable on the feet, landing 3.33 significant strikes per minute with solid 55% accuracy. However, he absorbs 4.40 strikes per minute, which suggests his striking defense needs work at 49%.

What makes Vieira truly dangerous is his grappling pedigree. He averages 3.52 takedown attempts per fight but only succeeds 26% of the time. His perfect 100% takedown defense means nobody has taken him down in his UFC career. Nine of his ten career wins have come by submission, making him one of the most dangerous finishers in the division. He averages 1.2 submission attempts per fight, but that number doesn’t capture how quickly he can transition once he establishes position.

Tresean Gore enters with a 6-3 record and brings a completely different energy to this matchup. Also standing 6’0″ but with a longer 75 inch reach, Gore fights from a switch stance that can confuse opponents. He lands 2.77 significant strikes per minute with 46% accuracy but absorbs a whopping 8.16 strikes per minute. His striking defense sits at just 39%, which explains why he’s been knocked out twice recently.

Gore’s grappling stats are more impressive than expected. He attempts 2.62 takedowns per fight with an excellent 75% success rate, and his 83% takedown defense should help against Vieira’s attempts. Gore averages 1.3 submission attempts per fight, showing he’s dangerous on the ground despite not being a pure grappler.

Rodolfo Vieira vs Tresean Gore MMA Betting Odds

According to Fanduel, they have installed Rodolfo Vieira as a moderate favorite at -210. Meanwhile Tresean Gore sits as the underdog at +176. These odds reflect respect for Vieira’s submission skills while acknowledging that Gore has upset potential.

The odds for the fight going the distance have also come out. The probability of the fight ending before the final bell is higher and the odds (-235) reflect that. The odds for the fight seeing the judges scorecards stand at +180.

Rodolfo Vieira vs Tresean Gore Predictions And Picks

This fight comes down to where it takes place and how quickly each man can impose their game plan. Tresean Gore needs to keep this standing and use his reach advantage to pepper Vieira with strikes. His switch stance and volume striking could frustrate the Brazilian, especially if Gore can stuff early takedown attempts and make Rodolfo Vieira work harder than expected.

However, Vieira’s path to victory seems clearer. His jiu-jitsu credentials are simply too elite to ignore, and Gore’s recent knockout losses suggest defensive vulnerabilities that a patient grappler can exploit. Once Vieira gets on top, the fight should be over quickly.

If we bet on the fight, we are going with Rodolfo Vieira to win the fight via submission.
