Abhinav Goel

Cristiano Ronaldo has put an end to speculation over his future by committing to a new chapter at Al-Nassr.

Cristiano Ronaldo has signed the most lucrative contract in sporting history as he extended his stay at Al-Nassr until beyond his 42nd birthday. Notably, the 40-year-old Portuguese icon has signed a deal worth a staggering £492 million over the two years. Ronaldo joined the Saudi Pro League side in December 2022 following his exit from Manchester United.

Just a month ago, CR7 sparked speculation about his future when he posted on social media, “the chapter is over,” after Al-Nassr concluded another season without silverware. They finished third in the Saudi Pro League. Ronaldo’s message fuelled rumours that the Portuguese superstar was preparing to move on from Al-Nassr.

However, Ronaldo has put an end to speculation over his future by committing to a new chapter in Riyadh. Posting on X, Ronaldo declared, “A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history together.” Ronaldo revealed that while he had received offers from teams competing in the Club World Cup, he chose to turn them down.
