Premier League 2025-26 Relegation Odds and Predictions: Latest Betting Insights on the Favourites

Abhinav Goel

Analyzing the Latest Odds and Expert Predictions for the 2025-26 Premier League Relegation Battle

The start of the 2025/26 Premier League season is just less than a month away. The 380 matches over the course of the season will determine which of the 20 clubs will win the Premier League title, the race for the UEFA Champions League qualification as well as who will get relegated.

Liverpool will be looking to defend their crown after clinching a historic 20th league title last season. While the focus at the top of the table will be on the title race and European qualification battles, the fight to avoid relegation promises to be equally fierce and unpredictable.

Premier League 2025-26 Season Preview

The 2025/26 Premier League season kicks off on 15 August. As is tradition, the bottom three teams – finishing 18th to 20th – will drop down to the Championship at the end of the season. Last term, Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Southampton suffered the drop after just a single year back in the top flight.

The 2025/26 Premier League relegation betting markets reflect the historical struggle for newly-promoted sides to survive in the Premier League. For the past two consecutive campaigns, all three promoted clubs were relegated at the first attempt. This trend shows the ever-growing gap between the Premier League and the Championship, making life increasingly difficult for clubs stepping up to England’s elite competition.

Three clubs who were promoted last season are already tipped as favourites for relegation in 2025/26. Burnley (-300) and Sunderland (-300) are currently the bookmakers’ strongest picks to go straight back down, while Leeds United (+110) are seen as slightly more capable of survival but still under significant threat.

Premier League 2025-26 Relegation Predictions

While Burnley, Sunderland, and Leeds are the clear favourites for relegation ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season, there are very short odds on these three teams. As a result, there’s arguably more value to be found in looking at other clubs who seem to be entering a period of instability.

Brentford (+333) appear particularly vulnerable after the departure of long-time head coach Thomas Frank. His replacement Keith Andrews, faces a tough task with no Premier League managerial experience. On top of that, key players such as Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa are being linked with exits, with goalkeeper Mark Flekken and Christian Norgaard already gone. With so many changes, there is value in backing Brentford to be relegated.

Similarly, Wolves (+350) are heading into the new season after losing their two best players, Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri. Having narrowly avoided relegation last term, Wolves’ squad looks weaker on paper now, with no major reinforcements expected. As a result, both Wolves and Brentford offer far more value in the relegation market than the obvious favourites.
