Manchester United are on the verge of landing Matheus Cunha in a high-profile summer move. The Wolves forward is set to join the Red Devils once the current Premier League season concludes. The 25-year-old Brazilian emerged as a top attacking target for United, who are expected to activate the £62.5 million release clause in his contract in the coming days.

Signed from Atletico Madrid in 2022 for £34 million, Cunha has become a central figure at Wolves, especially during their fight for Premier League survival. Across 63 top-flight appearances, he has contributed 27 goals and 13 assists, including a standout 2024–25 campaign with 15 goals and six assists, making him one of the league’s most productive forwards. For United, the signing signals a statement of intent as they look to rebuild.

With the Red Devils’ forward line struggling for consistency this season, Cunha’s creativity and clinical finishing will offer an upgrade.
